@julebrus_kongen@dystopiangf In typical farming, weeding is done by spraying glyphosate all over the crop, which kills every plant except your glyphosate resistant GMO corn, soybeans, etc.
So these devices can use lasers or whatever to kill weeds, instead of herbicides
@ChoochSkookum I was surprised to find hat 5 acres doesn't feel that big. In hindsight 10 is probably a good number.
A lot depends on climate and what's on the land.
I have several acres of forest and it's beautiful and full of birds and requires zero maintenance.
@julebrus_kongen@dystopiangf This type of treatment could significantly reduce glyphosate use on early corn, and I'm sure many other crops as well. Herbicide use is a major contributor to health problems in consumers, we should reduce it
@rossiadam@LoganARobison In the Canadian northwest most guys would leave the job site to smoke. I would have told them no smoking on my site, and act professional while you're here! Residential reno crews being on weed or beer is super common here. I try to judge based on quality of work and reliability
@SCHIZO_FREQ Lmao burgers grinding machines are freakin gross I am definitely gonna cook the food that touches that machine. Rare burger is just as bad as asking for rare chicken.
Cook your food dude.
@owenbroadcast@plasmarob Bears often have parasites so it has to be cooked very thoroughly, so you can't really do steaks or roast. In my area people make sausages or stew with bear.
@Lordmiles Make sure to ask for a set of shop drawings before giving the go ahead on production. You'd be shocked how many ways a fabricator can misinterpret drawings.
@way_opener@richmondie@RandomSprint You can and should definitely sip a bit of water when eating dry foods. Sure, don't drink a quart of water with your steak but it's fine to drink and eat in normal amounts
@RandomSprint I'm pro-crust. I always say that I like the crust because it's the breadiest part of the bread. I model this behaviour in my household by eating the bread ends
