Update on #Rams penalty analysis; post comments from Puka Nacua (4 game sample size)

The Rams two most penalized games in 2025/26 have occurred since his appearance, resulting in a 50% increase in penalty per game avg (4.2 per game to 6.25)

Im not suggesting collusion but there has clearly been a shift in the attitude/approach from officiating post Week 15

The Rams offense has accounted for a disproportionate percentage of teams overall penalties the last 4 weeks , despite being on an historically disciplined penalty per game avg the first 14 games of 2025

Obviously the INELIGIBLE MAN DOWNFIELD call stands out , resulting in a 4pt swing in a game decided by 1pt which ultimately cost the team the No.1 overall seed

The Rams offense was a top 5 BENEFICIARY of AUTOMATIC 1st DOWNS via penalty the first 14 games of the season with a +10 advantage vs opponents

Since that time the Rams have a -2 disadvantage in this category, despite multiple obvious examples of interference that were not called ,particularly at Falcons & at Panthers on Wild Card Weekend
