I’ve learned something from personal experience: a well-calculated lie can sound more believable than the truth.
I’ve had situations in the past where someone told a completely false story about me, but the way it was narrated was so convincing that anyone listening would naturally believe it. The hardest part was trying to prove that something I knew was a lie was actually a lie.
Since then, whenever someone tells me a story no matter how convincing or emotional it sounds, I always leave room for doubt until I hear the other side and see the evidence.
That’s also why, when Peter first told his side of the P-Square story, as painful and pathetic as it sounded, I still had reservations.
I kept asking myself: How can people be this mean to a brother without a trigger? What could possibly have happened behind the scenes that we don’t know about?
Because there’s always a danger in hearing only one side of a story.
So I didn’t rush to take sides. And honestly, I don’t think anyone should.
Now that more information, evidence and counterclaims are coming out from VDM. I think everybody needs to calm down.
At the end of the day, these are brothers.
We may never know everything that happened behind closed doors, but perhaps we’ve heard enough to realize that this whole thing is far more complicated than the stories we first heard.
And at this point, I honestly wish this issue will be resolved this time and let the brothers heal.
