@ryanhelmetsmith @Jolonco @Rainmakers28 @SarahLongwell25 @BillKristol I’ll even go a step further, I’m very pro gun. I’m also in the military with a mother who’s a teacher. Do I want schools safe? Absolutely, do I believe raising the age on buying weapons is necessary? I really don’t. I think it boils down to mental health and gun safety advocacy.

I can’t speak for active duty army but for guard/reserves, there is one weekend a year that your qualify. There isn’t a two week turnaround time for training and live fire.

Granted I truly believe without young soldiers, 18-20 age range, having that outside help with their marksmanship, they would be highly less effective in a combat situation

The national guard, my experience, thrives on people shooting, hunting and practicing outside of those tiny training blocks. An average person does 3 weeks of rifle training in basic and then could easily do 20 years without
