This - don’t tell teenagers who are finding puberty difficult that they’re going to be erased etc.
Growing up is hard (I hated it, most girls do) but humans have managed it for generations without genital surgery and without being given very damaging blockers and hormones.
Adolescents experiencing gender distress deserve honesty, not apocalyptic messaging. Telling adolescents that society is trying to “erase” them, “push them out of public life,” or that they are victims of a “trans genocide” can deepen fear, hopelessness, and alienation. Responsible adults should be helping them build resilience, not convincing them the world is out to destroy them.
Interesting article. At UCL, we still don't have access to Pangram to check student work, which seems crazy.
'I recently reviewed 1,191 doctoral dissertations from 2025 in the fields of educational leadership and administration. My research suggests that 35 percent of those dissertations were made up of more than a negligible amount — i.e., greater than 10 percent — of AI-generated text. Ten percent were more than 50 percent AI-generated...
Before you protest — “AI-detectors are unreliable”; “they’re potentially biased against nonnative speakers”; “they can be tricked” — let me tell you that I used Pangram. It is not for nothing that Pangram has become the tool of choice for much of the internet, as a slew of peer-reviewed research has found that it achieves “near-zero” false-negative and false-positive rates, even against “adversarial” and “humanizing” AI software. I have used Pangram over the last year in my undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral courses and have found it (with additional safeguards and protocols) to be near-perfect in detecting students’ inappropriate use of AI in their writing. My ongoing study used 100 dissertations published before 2020 as a control; all came out as “100 percent Human” in Pangram.'
People of colour are at risk of sexual assault by elderly white Irish people, especially females, under the guise of “grandparents”. Everyone must be on the alert: it’s all about CONSENT. So says a campaign video (now suspended).
Do Irish women get to say no to ex-convict Barbie Kardashian, and his violent rape fantasies, in intimate single sex spaces like hospital wards, toilets and changing rooms? No, of course not. That sort of consent is exclusionary, genocidal.
@SarahLudford@TheBMA Like the @thecsp - another professional body taken over by be kind (and much worse) activists who have no regard whatsoever for their mainstream membership, except that they know they can keep them quiet via intimidation.
what I would like is for someone with programming skills to make a bit of software to search the internet for GMC registered drs making these sort complaints and report, as well as ASA. let me know if you have these very particular skills and are in need of a thankless task
@mgtmccartney I’m shocked, I tell you 🧐
I’m seeing more and more made up stuff about science/scientific publications by activists with truly masculine levels of confidence and entitlement in a field they know nothing about.
@redrumlisa@JoPhoenix1 One of many reasons I early retired (I was lucky to be able to)
Undergraduate students receive a minimal service unless they’re at risk of failing. For those, all too many are rescued by academics putting in extra hours for them at management behest
Good students get vv little.
Brilliant news for free speech - and for women. 🎉
Scope has publicly apologised for cancelling my choir’s London Marathon performance over my gender-critical views, acknowledging its decision was wrong.
Our legal dispute is now resolved. No apology can undo the upset caused, but I hope this gives more women confidence to speak up - and makes others think twice before cancelling people for speaking about biological reality.
I tried to resolve this privately before going public or consulting lawyers. The brilliant @MForstater helped me draft a letter to Scope ahead of the marathon, hoping we could clear things up. Unfortunately, Scope stood by its decision at that stage.
I’m so grateful to the @SpeechUnion, my solicitors Sharpe Pritchard, the fellow singers who stood beside me and members of @womensrightsnet for their support.
Sadly, I fear some singers may feel too nervous to return to the choir. But I hope other women will feel emboldened by this news.
Women should be able to speak about biological sex, their sex-based rights and the language used to describe their bodies - without fear of cancellation or other negative consequences.

This Bill would make social workers enforcers of transitioning of children despite the evidence that this is harmful - @ebswa supports the campaign to @BinTheBill_
Five of 235 adolescents (2.1%) referred to the Belgian Pediatric Gender Clinic died by suicide during follow-up, a remarkably high cumulative mortality that shows that access to medical interventions does not eliminate the risk of suicide

Bridget Philipson MP should not be writing in the Independent that no parent will be prosecuted for tense and difficult conversations with children when the conversion bill she is promoting permits for exactly that to be prosecuted. Time to end this misinformation from govt.
@jo_bartosch@jk_rowling Me too. I found his self confidence uncomfortable (as in, cringe+++) also his carefully timed “contribution” incongruent with the nuance of the large majority of the debate and contributions.
I may have uttered a rather loud yawn.
Girls of 12 have had both their breasts cut off in the USA. Susie Green's son had his penis removed as a 16th birthday present. Jazz Jennings was 17.
if there is 40 years of great data on the use of puberty blockers, isn't it so very odd that the adult gender clinics resisted with all their might any sharing of the outcomes of the 9K children referred to the Tavistock? One might almost assume that outcomes must be very poor indeed.
Why on earth would any woman pay to be a member of @unisontheunion when its leaders actively undermine women's rights and the Equality Act?

Important to read all of @Jebadoo2 posts here on the proposed conversion bill. He really does know what he's talking about- unlike qualities minister Bridget Phillipson it seems!
