"FIIs often signal a bullish move to the right only to pivot left. They set higher targets precisely to entice Indian retail and institutional investors into buying their holdings."
Had this man not found the courage to fight back after being repeatedly attacked with an axe capable of cutting through metal—while bleeding profusely—and had the presence mind to trigger the hijack/emergency code, initiate the emergency response and open the cockpit door to allow passengers to assist him, the aircraft’s subsequent dive could have had catastrophic consequences.
Had that aircraft not been recovered, the geopolitical consequences for the Middle East could have been profound and potentially irreversible.
Sometimes history turns on the courage, resilience and presence of mind of one person.
Yes. One Indian man.
Indian IT companies are merely doing body shopping or labour arbitrage. Not o blame them. They are doing their best but Indian investors wants or aspire for them to enjoy higher PE than US companies which are doing lot of R&D. Expecting too much!

Today's move in insurance stocks and platforms like PB Fintech is a reminder that one circular, one consultation paper, just one draft is enough to de-rate an entire sector if it's a regulated entity. It all depends on what the regulator thinks.
Listing of NSE in BSE is likely to surge average Daily Cash market turnover of BSE in a big way. Interesting time for BSE going forward. BSE is likely to have last laugh.😆
Every fund manager should be asked: When were you bearish on the Indian stock market?
They are almost invariably bullish.
Unless SEBI permits them to discuss the specific stocks they are bullish on, what is the real value in listening to these repetitive, generic interviews?
Ramesh Mantri of @WhiteOakCap says he is extremely bullish on Indian markets right now and within his funds , this is the highest allocation to equities he has made in the last 3 years !
He says we now have evidence of two quarters of corporate earnings growth and lead indicators like car sales , cement sales , credit and export growth all pointing upwards.

Interbank Call market is heading for a liquidity surplus of Ra 14 trln shortly because of FCNR deposits. Too much cash can@push up inflation. So@how shud RBI sponge out the liquidity. Hear it from Citi’s Samiran Chakraborty and ICICI’s Sameer Narang https://t.co/1lWoaWFNL5
To people celebrating $136B of FCNR flows, I have a few questions.
1. How's inflating FX reserves through $ DEBT a positive? These are borrowed reserves, repayable in Dollars in 3-5 Years.
Instead, if the Government / RBI wanted the flows to come to India, there could have been better and more stable long term approaches like Tax Cuts, Ease of Compliance, Abolition of STT ...
2. The second narrative being floated is it's positive for Banks, as they are flushed with Liquidity.
It's a positive IF the Incremental Credit-Deposit ratio was rising beyond threshold and Banks were facing a liquidity crunch. Which wasn't the case. System liquidity is at 4 year high. Even if it weren't so and Banks had any liquidity constraints, there are cleaner ways to add liquidity, like CRR cuts and all.
A temporary flow of 3-5 years can't fund long term corporate loans or infra projects, so the only use case is retail credit, provided there were enough lending opportunities but lack of liquidity.
In all of this, RBI has taken a Short USD, now a record $136B in the forward book, and for what exactly?
Institutional transitions at this scale are standard procedure, not crises. India has a deep bench of leadership talent, and corporate continuity does not hinge on any single individual—regardless of media hype.
What bank CEO leaves with such short notice.
What a mess at HDFC Bank.
At least Kotak Mahindra Bank offered more notice of Vaswani's departure.
Like I wrote at that time - "...succession has become a persistent challenge for most of India’s private sector banks, on account of thinning internal talent pipelines, insufficient planning and even opaque regulatory interventions.
It wasn’t so long ago that iconic leadership was part of what justified private-sector banks’ premium valuations over state-owned lenders.
Now, some might say the orderly transitions every three to four years between relatively competent leaders at State Bank of India deserve a comfort premium."
