Finally, after 96 days of violence, destruction, and billions of tax dollars wasted on a nonsensical and deadly war, the House is taking a stand to end the war in Iran.
Thank you to the 215 representatives for saying the quiet part out loud and listening to everyday people against the war. We now call on the Senate to follow suit and end this once and for all.
Breaking News: The House voted to end the war in Iran, as four Republicans sided with Democrats in a striking rebuke to President Trump. https://t.co/Oeeox0iq9q
We strongly condemn the Israeli apartheid government for banning @lsarsour from visiting her family, her friends, and her homeland in occupied Palestine.
This act of sheer racism that the Netanyahu regime has perpetrated against Linda Sarsour is nothing new. Israel has spent years preventing Palestinians around the world, even Palestinian-Americans like Linda, from visiting their families and their lands. The Israeli government has even banned Jewish Americans who dare to criticize the country’s ongoing history of apartheid, ethnic cleansing and genocide.
This is unacceptable. Apartheid Israel does not have the moral or legal right to cut off Palestinian-Americans from their families and loved ones living under occupation. It is long past time for our government to defend the rights of American citizens and others to visit Palestine without interference.

Accountability matters.
A South SF man has been sentenced for assaulting and threatening to kill pro‑Palestinian protesters in 2024. Hate and violence are not protected speech.
“No one should be assaulted or threatened because they speak out for Palestinian human rights. This case shows exactly why anti-Palestinian hate must be taken seriously, especially when it is directed at people exercising their First Amendment rights." - CAIR-SFBA Executive Director Zahra Billoo

Come with me as I learn about each person at the official Israeli delegation at today's Israel Day Parade in New York City.
These are the people some of my fellow Jewish and other New Yorkers demanded Mayor Mamdani stand with today.

“No tragedy, no injustice is going to silence us or take away our right to practice our religion. If anything, we are going to be more vocal against bigotry, against anti-Muslim hate, and against all forms of [hate.] We are going to be more vocal, pointing the finger at those who enable hate and enable these crimes; not just the ones who commit [them].”
During a recent khutbah at ICYL Masjid, CAIR-LA Executive Director @HussamA explains how the rise in anti-Muslim rhetoric and the demonization of mosques by some elected officials has created a climate of hate that fueled the deadly attack on the Islamic Center of San Diego—and urges us to take action by voting for those who refuse to enable such hate.

BREAKING: @CAIRMN, CAIR LDF File Federal Lawsuit Against ICE for Illegal Targeting of Twin Cities Immigration Rights Activist
“Across the country, we are seeing the Trump administration warp the federal government to attack its political opponents and undermine our constitutional rights,” said CAIR LDF attorney John Fossum. “Janette is taking this battle to court because we know that every one of these unlawful actions, every encounter and overreach, must be confronted and rejected.”

Earlier this week, State Senator Scott Wiener reposted dangerous, Islamophobic, and Zionist language on X. "The rise of Islamism" is falsely framed as the boogeyman in international politics and a threat to the West and the settler colony of Israel. Words have meaning, and these are deadly.
CAIR-SFBA calls on Sen. Wiener to issue an apology immediately and meet with Muslim constituents. Nobody should get away with hate speech.

Eid Mubarak from all of us at CAIR-SFBA!
Wishing you and your loved ones a joyful and blessed Eid al-Adha.
We are deeply grateful for your partnership and belief in our work. May Allah accept your sacrifices, your worship, and your generosity.
Any attempt to further strip Al-Aqsa Mosque of its religious character would be illegal, dangerous and an affront to nearly two billion Muslims around the world. Key members of the Israeli government have made no secret of the fact that they wish to up end the status quo and would, if they could, destroy the Al-Aqsa compound.
The Israeli apartheid government’s attacks on religious institutions and its denial of Muslim and Christian religious rights are completely out of control. The international community must reject any effort to erode protections for Palestinian religious sites or diminish the rights of worshippers in occupied Jerusalem.
As you plan your sadaqah on the blessed Day of Arafah, we ask you to remember the work that protects our Bay Area community.
CAIR-SFBA defends community members facing discrimination, hate, immigration challenges, and violations of their rights, at school, at work, in housing, while traveling, in detention, and beyond.

🧵1/ I flew back from the janaza of our three heroes in San Diego to attend last night’s Los Gatos Planning Commission meeting.
Why?
Because after three Muslims were murdered at a mosque in San Diego, some Los Gatos neighbors tried using that attack to argue a local Muslim congregation should face even MORE restrictions.
Pilgrims gather on the Day of Arafah, the spiritual peak of Hajj, retracing the Prophet Muhammad’s final sermon, braving intense heat.
Al Jazeera’s Ahmed Idris meets worshippers reflecting on faith, equality and their journeys to Mecca.
Tomorrow, May 25, national Muslim leaders with the US Council of Muslim Organizations (@USCMO) plan to hold a news conference at the annual Islamic Circle of North America (@icna) conference taking place in Baltimore, Maryland, to respond to last week’s deadly terror attack on a mosque in San Diego.
WHAT: USCMO News Conference in Response to San Diego Mosque Terror Attack
WHEN: Monday, May 25, 11 a.m. ET
WHERE: Baltimore Convention Center, 1 West Pratt Street, Baltimore, MD 21201 (Inside Pratt Street Entrance)
