And today 24th April 2025, the CAITHS CBO under its "Nimechanuka Project", created a platform for both Community Stakeholders and State Actors where a formal SRHR Champions Technical Working Group was formed to help tackle related issues affecting community.
And today 23rd April 2025, the CAITHS CBO Kicked off it's first activity which targeted Vinyozi and Salon owners/managers. The activity involved debrief and sensitization of these groups to be the SRHR Champions and their role towards prevention of triple threat in Rusinga Island

We marked the Menstrual Hygiene Day in style with special students at Nyamuga special school in Rusinga Island where we provided Dignity packages to these special children..Many thanks to Mbita Sub-county MoH for your invitation
This weekend, we were visiting youth at various churches so that we may hear their from them on matters SRHR & their role as Stakeholders and beneficiaries to SRHR services. Today, it was SDA Churches and below is Sienga SDA church youths during the session.
This was today at Kamayoge SDA Church youth group session in Rusinga. We had an interactive session with this group who were between 12yrs and 18yrs. We discussed matters SRHR, their roles, their perspective and understanding on SRHR. 30 youths attended.
This was 17th April when we engaged professional healthcare providers, traditional birth attendants, pharmacists and private healthcare providers at Tom Mboya Hospital and Kamasengre Dispensary where each stakeholdee identified their roles on matter SRHR.
Today CAITHS Team engaged with Adolescents at Kamasengre primary school safe space where we had an open dialogue (goyo mbaka) on matters SRHR: roles of youth in mitigating SGBV, early teenage pregnancy and related consequences like new HIV/AIDS infections
Sensitization &dialogue sessions are ongoing in Mbita SC-Rusinga-through ICANSEE Project. For the last 3 weeks, we've organized and conducted sensitization & dialogue sessions with CHPs, silk groups, BMUs, religious and cultural, adolescents and Nurses &TBAs.
We had opportunity as CBOs to meet community stakeholders (National administration, BMUs, Cultural & Religious Leader, and teaching professionals) on finding sustainable solutions to Triple Threat issue within our communities in Homabay County. Thank you @Ipas_AA
The project targets: Fisherfolk community(Fishermen, crues(Jaboya), boat owners, fish mongers etc); Silk Groups; Religeous & cultural community; Adolescents and teenagers; TBAs and Healthcare services providers, local leaders and households.

CAITHS was not left behind in commemorating International Day of PWDs on 3/12/2019, an event which is celebrated Globally yearly to remember those people with disabilities. In Homabay Conty, this special day was celebrated in Kamsama Primary School in Mbita Sub-county.
This Adolescent Dialogue Event was organized by CAITHS in partnership with PS Kenya and Ministry of Health. Youths showcase their talent. The Youths got opportunity to learn and to share experiences and challenges in dealing with health, empowerment related issues.
