Officers from IMPD Northwest District cruised into an ice cream social in a neighborhood they patrol. The officers showed neighborhood children the police cars and gave them stickers! After that, of course they enjoyed some delicious ice cream sundaes. 🍦😋

Just got pulled over by the local police for a traffic violation. TOTALLY my fault. Brain lapse.

For reasons beyond the scope of this tweet, my windows don’t roll down so I had to SLOWLY open the door.
And it reminded me of how dangerous policing is. These men and women are a hair’s length away from death or serious injury with every traffic stop and 911 call.

The officer was an absolute professional and couldn’t have been kinder.
Also, a big thanks to all of the men and women in blue for having the balls to do this tough job.

It was a beautiful morning for the @SOIndiana Law Enforcement Torch Run.

IMPD officers raised funds then participated in a 3-mile run alongside Special Olympic athletes throughout downtown #Indy.

In the past three days, fifteen police officers have been shot in America. This surge in violence against law enforcement underscores a critical issue, signaling a dire need for your support. It's time to voice your concerns to local elected officials, many of whom are not addressing this crisis effectively.

How many officers must be killed before our leaders take decisive action? How much bloodshed is necessary before they declare that enough is enough?

This violence is a blemish on our societal fabric, marked tragically by the blood of those sworn to protect us.
