@erin_clyburn Type of person to burn people at the stake in Salem. Some red scare McCarthyism. Though this too shall pass or at least that’s what I keep telling myself.
#Ashoka has been great! It’s a toss up between this show and Andor as my favorite so far. Love that the universe is big and diverse enough to have these stories. Also just recast Luke and Leia. Though I’m sure they are waiting till the Filoni movie.
@Indus_Guy Yea but what I’m saying is that you’re taught to switch companies every two to three years out of college to grow salary. So how important really are those connections in a three year job if you are leaving anyway.
@Carrot_breath@triempery @patricksamphire @AllanBoroughs Hopefully quality will trump all and I personally think AI will be a tool most authors will embrace in some part of their process(editing, brainstorming, or dialogue tags). Some may use it to write a whole book while others will use it to create carefully curated worlds.
@mistman78 @miamiknights1 @GuyDealership Got 2k off my new Honda pilot hybrid last week with “weather package” included. Took calling around to four or five dealerships though and walking away from their first “best” offer. Though couldn’t do that with Toyota. MSRP was their best and you would have to wait for it.
Median bank account balance in the US: $5,300.
FDIC insurance limit: $250,000.
Congress could raise that limit but let's not pretend that will help "average Americans." There's no free lunch: more FDIC insurance = higher costs. Those with high balances should bear that cost.
@robinhobb It’s one of the best editors I’ve ever seen. I think the process in the future will be outline assisted AI(for brainstorming), rough draft, ai draft, and then final author draft with some other drafts thrown in. I think quality will trump all.
I think ChapGPT is the new calculator. Fight it, run from it, but in the end I think all will embrace it. Quality will trump all. That being said I think the perfect use for the tool currently is for editing.
I’m a little skeptical of the ballon spying. In the world full of spy satellites it just doesn’t make sense to me. Sounds like media fever more than anything. #Balloon
@SRMillerAuthor Definitely think you need a brand but to me it seems your question is how narrow does the brand need to be. I think having a general Horror brand you’re pretty good but I think the more niche you can get the easier you can separate yourself from other general horror writers.
I need to post more. Will try to work on that in the future but for now let me say this. It’s never been a better time to start or pick back up writing. #amwriting#fantasy
