The journey towards water security begins with informed action. The National Water Mission reflects India's commitment to improving water-use efficiency, promoting conservation, and encouraging sustainable water management.

NWM has five goals:

Goal 1: Comprehensive water database in public domain.
Goal 2: Assessment of the impact of climate change on water resources.
Goal 3: Promotion of citizen and state actions for water conservation, augmentation and preservation, and Focused attention to vulnerable areas including over-exploited areas.
Goal 4: Increasing water use efficiency by 20%.
Goal 5: Promotion of basin level integrated water resources management.

Government Notifies Revised Wage Rates under the VB–G RAM G Act, 2025

✴️Wage Rates Enhanced Across All States and Union Territories; No Notified Wage Below ₹300; Average Increase of Over 10%

✴️The States of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh to see an increase in the range of 15% to 25%.

✴️Kerala, Haryana, Punjab, Karnataka to have wage rates of over Rs 360 up to Rs 409

✴️Largest wage increases directed towards historically lower-wage States, strengthening livelihoods of millions of rural workers
