🚨 "ZUFFA BOXING IS THE TROJAN HORSE"
Oscar De La Hoya: "Zuffa Boxing is the Trojan Horse. They are overpaying a few boxers to make it seem like this big money will continue but it won't. Once they monopolize the sport like they want to, Zuffa will pay fighters peanuts — exactly like the UFC.
In a combat sport where your pay is tied to ascension, and your health reliant on good matchmaking, is it surprising how docile fighters become when the promoter is given total control over both?
The recipe for fighter exploitation and why the Ali Act made this illegal.

TODAY, on the 59th anniversary of my grandfather taking a stand for what he believed in and refusing induction, we made meaningful progress with Senators on the Ali Revival Act.
Fighters, your rights are on the line. Speak up.
Nico Ali Walsh tells the US Senate that if they pass the Ali "revival" Act they should remove Muhammad Ali's name from it.
Because the bill destroys the protections Muhammad Ali fought for.
We can save everyone the trouble:
Anyone investing in this current market is a fool setting money on fire. The executives soliciting such investments are either thieves or fools.
If you understand combat sports you would know given the current structure you cannot compete.
Despite having over 500 fighters sign our petition, including dozens of world champions, we were told our “names are not” sufficient.
We cannot compete against “Ali’s family” who supports this bill. @nicoaliwalsh is Ali’s grandson and a fighter-who does not support this bill.
The wool is being pulled over Congress’ eyes-at best.
Let us obtain total control over an athletes career and a monopoly over the industry-in exchange we will provide token benefits nobody asked for. Congress can pretend to care.
We know how this ends for boxers-see the UFC.
We have been asked what we think about the draft Ali Sham Act that was approved today.
The entire combat sports community will be subjected to monopolistic exploitation and abuse but will be given cupcakes and ribbons by concerned legislators.
Vote no against this scam.
This is easy to test.
If the aim is to foster competition and increase choice @RepBrianJack, simply add the following sentence to the bill and we will support it:
“Any promoter operating as a UBO under this Act is prohibited from using exclusive contracts.”
Agree?
