Money, Drugs, and Cockfighting Rings!! 💵💊🐓

On May 9, #ElPasoAirBranch, #GTAC and NASOC-San Angelo teamed up with HSI, BORTAC, NMSP, and FBI to target an illegal cockfighting ring tied to narcotics trafficking and money laundering. Using advanced ISR tech and coordinated aerial maneuvers, the operation secured a 40-acre site and detained over 150 individuals.

On April 29, 2026, #ElPasoAirBranch aircrews teamed up with DEA SRT agents for a field training exercise focused on CASEVAC drills.

About 30 agents practiced patient loading, extraction, and rapid care techniques, improving coordination and communication between ground teams and aircrews for high-stress operations.

#ElPasoAirBranch provided ISR coverage and CASEVAC support for the BTS concert at Sun Bowl Stadium—the biggest event in El Paso’s history with over 120,000 fans!

Working with local, state, and federal partners, EPAB helped to keep the crowd safe so everyone could enjoy the music and fun.

Great teamwork made for a memorable, safe, and worry-free concert!

🚨 WILD Border Chase Near Winterhaven, CA! 🚨
On April 30, 2026, a vehicle disguised as a construction truck was spotted driving erratically near the Andrade Port of Entry. When Border Patrol agents tried to stop it, the driver sped off-road and dozens of passengers bailed out, sprinting toward the Colorado River, hoping to escape!

Within moments, a #YumaAirBranch helicopter aircrew was on the scene, scanning the dense riverside vegetation from above.

The aircrew quickly spotted multiple suspects and expertly guided ground agents to their hiding spots.

Thanks to this rapid aerial response and teamwork, 22 illegal aliens were apprehended after a dramatic pursuit.

🚨 Lifesaving Rescue 🚨
On May 1, an H125 crew responded to a 911 call near Mount Washington with a BORSTAR Paramedic. The patient—a diabetic stranded without insulin, food, or water for three days—was in dire need. When the H125 crew was unable to land due to the steep terrain, a Black Hawk crew arrived within minutes. Working together, the two aircraft coordinated to insert an AMO EMT and BORSTAR Paramedic via hoist. Using an Air Rescue Vest, the team safely extracted the patient and transferred him to a local hospital for urgent care. Exceptional teamwork and rapid response saved a life against the odds! #Rescue #BORSTAR #AMO #MountWashington

Rescue in the Sierra Pinta Mountains 🇺🇸
A #YumaAirBranch AS350 aircrew assisted Wellton Border Patrol after they located an individual in heat-related distress in the rugged Sierra Pinta Mountains.
The aircrew quickly diverted to pick up Yuma BORSTAR agents and an AMO EMT who provided immediate medical care on scene. Once stabilized, the individual was safely transferred to an awaiting ambulance.
Great teamwork between Border Patrol, BORSTAR, and Air and Marine Operations saving lives in the desert. 💪

.@CBP mourns the loss of Border Patrol Agent Sean M. McDonough.

BPA McDonough started his CBP career in 2007. He recently served at the Wellesley Island Border Patrol Station, Buffalo Sector in New York. He also served in Nogales Station and in Houlton Sector. BPA McDonough also served in the U.S. Army, Army National Guard, and as a Military Police Officer.

He is a true hero who selflessly served to protect America.

As a CBP family, we extend our deepest condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of BPA McDonough.
