👉 Various sources have reported and confirmed that Cuban infielder Raynel Delgado will be promoted to the Major Leagues by the Houston Astros in recent hours. Delgado, who was acquired by the Astros in a trade yesterday with the Tampa Bay Rays while he was playing at the Triple-A level. He will be the 28th Cuban to see action in the majors this season.
📊 This season at Triple-A (Durham), in the Rays organization the Cuban slashed .250/..320/.362/.682 with three homeruns, 33 runs batted in and 24 stolen bases in 61 games of service with the minor league ballclub. Delgado can play every position in infield and has also played in the outfield during his time on the farm. This winter Delgado also hit .292 in 20 games with the Águilas Cibaeñas of the LIDOM.

👉 Brander Guevara made his first start Sunday in the Liga Mexicana de Béisbol and was solid. The Cuban hurler threw 4⅓ innings in which he gave up two hits ,an earned run and fanned three during the Conspiradores de Querétaro’s 8-2 thrashing of the Tigres de Quintana Roo. For Guevara it was his second appearance and his earned run average fell to 6.23 on the campaign.
