Hi Twitter friends. I have been feeling like politics have been taking too much from me in the last two years. I will be deleting the app. This may be my last tweet. Thank you for the journey. ♥️
In case they need reminding, I’ve compiled a list of all the times Doug Ford and his housing minister Steve Clark said they wouldn’t touch the #Greenbelt (caution: long 🧵 ahead):
I just tabled a motion calling on the PC government to halt plans to open the Greenbelt for development, protect prime farmland and commit to building at least 1.5 million homes within existing urban boundaries. We can build the housing we need without destroying the environment.
This is the kind of sleazy politics that turns people off entirely. @fordnation caught behind closed doors saying he will,“open up the #greenbelt”, then publicly saying he will “unequivocally not touch the greenbelt”, to now just opening doing it.
It’s all around wrong. #onpoli
When do you know your province is being willfully destroyed?: A chunk of land larger than Vancouver just opened up for housing in Ontario — and it's not from the Greenbelt | CBC News https://t.co/eYo1lUp3cR #HandsofftheGreenbelt#StopSprawl

In the midst of a #climateemergency, Imperial Oil made $6.2 billion this year - almost *4 times* more than last!
We cannot expect the arsonists to put out the fire.
Will the Prime Minister stop subsidizing these companies and place a windfall tax on their excess profits?
Those who followed me from the beginning, know that I have always said that climate change is happening much faster than predicted and Earth is much more sensitive to warming than many thought
I was condemned by all sides and I am gutted that is all now happening and angry
