Cliff Fletcher was a brilliant guy.
He was the architect of the surprisingly good and incorrectly remembered Atlanta Flames teams of the 1970s. The Flames made the playoffs in six of their eight seasons in Atlanta and were always competitive.

Not *upset* about your list- which I would like to think you posted for discussion purposes- but Ric Flair is way ahead of Randy Savage. See, Randy was smart and took nights off, I've seen many medium Savage matches live. Flair wasn't "smart" like that, he never put his feet up.
My take on the "100 Greatest Wrestlers Ever" discourse:
* Top 4: Terry Funk, Randy Savage, Bryan Danielson, Manami Toyota. In any order.
* The rest is personal preference.
* If you get legit upset about anyone's list, just stop. Go fix your life and your heart.
@the_joe_marotta And Billy White Wolf would not be seen in the WWF again for 13 years, when he came back as General Adnan. Incidentally, both he and Monsoon also competed in the NCAA tournament in 1959, in different weight classes.
It’s payday! This giveaway will go to the person who names the most obscure player they’ve ever rostered in fantasy football. The number of likes on your reply impacts voting, but ultimately I have final subjective say (to prevent bots from ruining it)
This came out maybe a week or two after Graham won the WWWF title, which was odd since the mags were usually about two months behind with the news. Even as a sixth grader I knew someone must have tipped off the Apter Mags on the then-upcoming title switch.
Nobody working in athletics should be making more than ~$500k when teachers aren’t even making $80k
Zero. None. Absolutely nobody
Society shouldn’t really incentivize people to be athletes
Except that we all knew Denver had the #30 pick, a very low value #1 in a bad 2026 Draft. New England is absorbing a lot more risk by surrendering it's #1 in 2028.
Jalen Waddle went for a 1st, 3rd and 4th. We can't complain about the Patriots giving up picks then give Denver credit for valuing proven talent over college talent especially in this new era of college football that seemingly has run out of bonafide studs.
I have zero understanding here.
--You think Flair is respected just for blading?
--Backlund should be elevated for having an awful match vs Flair in Atlanta over some weird paranoia?
Most of the Bob Backlund hate came from people parroting a certain observer who was like “He’s not Ric Flair, he doesn’t cut his skull open every night.”
Meanwhile Bob was like “I respected Vince Senior so much that if Flair tried anything funny in the Omni, I would end him.”
We may not all agree on this- I don't. But the Rams feel they have their QB of the future (Simpson) in place and can thus stay of out the NFL Draft / QB derby.
Important:
--I was there.
--Dusty hadn't been on WWF TV yet.
--They announced Dusty as the sub before the show started, and the crowd's pop was even bigger by far.
Lesson: Don't go around thinking fans willing to pay for a ticket didn't watch all of the free TV wrestling.
Pre-vignettes, pre-polka dots, Dusty Rhodes makes his surprise televised return to the WWF, subbing for Jake Roberts in a match with Ted Dibiase in Boston 6/3/89 (listen to that crowd!)
I don’t really get the people that are against giving up a 2028 first for AJ.
He’s a true WR1 that transforms the look of the offense and WR room overnight.
I’m not thinking twice about it.
The #Giants will have WR Odell Beckham Jr. in for a workout on Monday, per @Schultz_Report.
The news comes just days after the Giants lost WR Gunner Olszewski to a torn Achilles.
