Two months ago, a back-of-house sink fell on union leader Sharon Gilman as she was doing dishes at the Wake Forest & Six Forks store in Raleigh NC. Yesterday Sharon was fired for the incident, the same week ballots go out for her store.

This union was created just months ago (!!!), and they are currently ahead in a union election at a massive Amazon facility on Staten Island. Whatever happens, this will be a huge wake-up call to unions everywhere about the organizing possibilities in this moment.
