@SemperVeritasX Everyone should read Brigadier General Smedley D. Butler's book, War is a Racket. He explains why all wars are bankers wars.
It is a quick read and an absolute MUST read. You can download a free pdf copy from the Internet Archive from this link. https://t.co/AGBcjkUAWd
@MaxineFothergil Yes! NOBODY voted to be in the EU in the 1970s referendum - the vote was for the Common Market.
The 1970s campaign mantra repeatedly assured voters "THERE WOULD BE NO LOSS OF SOVEREIGNTY". We now know they lied! That referendum was won by deception and false pretenses.
@dokacola@empire_res66190@KTHopkins Jamie, maybe you should thank @KTHopkins because she seems to satiate your Schadenfreude.
It is the experience of pleasure, joy, or self-satisfaction you seem to get from learning of her troubles, failures, pain, suffering.
See link https://t.co/kFHe1LCytJ
@dokacola@empire_res66190@KTHopkins Bankrupt? If you read it properly, it says she applied for an insolvency agreement to avoid bankruptcy, so likely paid all her debts and isn't bankrupt; and she never cries victim about any hardships she suffers.
Maybe corrupt courts shouldn't be so destructive over tweets.
@dokacola@empire_res66190 Your post reveals more about Jack Monroe's character than it does @KTHopkins. You glorying in it reveals a lot about your character too.
That devastation would totally destroy most people, but like a phoenix she survived, which reveals the exemplary strength of her character.
@spoj1991@roddis_@cfdownes_ Yes, it's bad for everyone.
Boomers at 15 ish, were propagandised with that 'blame the old folk it's not fair, but suck it up', trope. Their millennial kids had that trope too at 15 ish & now Gen Z too etc.
Govts have you focus blame on old folks so you don't blame them.
@nickwallis The post office behaviour and their lawyers' behaviour is the norm. It is the same practices used throughout all our corrupt institutions.
Some good people may exist within the institutions but they will be destroyed if they do the right thing.
Restore the Rule of Law.
@spoj1991@roddis_@cfdownes_ And for the record, the Securitisation grift is also a wealth transfer monopoly from the public to the bankers. They are Whole Business Securitisations.
When you understand that, you will understand why the water companies poisoned our rivers and seas with impunity and failed.
@spoj1991@roddis_@cfdownes_ You blame the elderly as if they've had it good.
Fact: the banks took wealth transfers from homeowners in the 1990s and 2010s via the evil of Securitisations and got tax payers bail out too. Securitisation is the reason people won't inherit their parents homes and can't buy one
@davidowens43@ABridgen Agree. I instantly recalled with horror the 1970s first test tube baby (baby Cotton) when I read the opening chapter of Huxley's 1932 book Brave New World.
And that case twenty years ago with that Diane Blood woman demanding her 'right' to her dead husband's sperm. Disgusted.
@roddis_@cfdownes_ Boomers paid tax for 53 years of their working life for YOU, the young and the old and, STILL pay tax.
Yet you promote contempt for the elderly as 'unfair' and inconvenient. You could learn some wisdom from your elders. One day you will be old and may then also be wiser too.
@cfdownes_ Your scorn for your elders is myopic and naïve.
Boomers are not bribed for votes. But you bribe the young for their votes to sacrifice boomers to poverty as unfair?
Boomers worked 53 years aged 14 to 67. Boomers paid for their pensions. And paid for YOU and the elderly.
@nw_nicholas Social Security is for those who PAID National Insurance as security when sick, disabled or unemployed.
IT IS NOT a 'benefit' for the citizen who needs the safety net they paid for!
Govt pays 'benefits' to anyone in the world who has landed here but never paid National Ins.
A huge thank you to the @Daily_Express for giving our campaign for fundamental reform of the Child Maintenance Service such prominent coverage.
The current system is failing far too many families — mothers, fathers and, ultimately, the children it is supposed to support.
We believe it is time for a system that reflects modern family life, considers the financial circumstances of BOTH parents, recognises genuine shared care and ends the absurd 25% income-change rule.
Westminster is reviewing child maintenance now. This is our opportunity to make sure real reform happens — and that this doesn’t become yet another review that disappears into Whitehall.
Please read, share and help us keep the pressure on.
Thank you, Express, for helping us get this important campaign heard. 🇬🇧

@steve_regent Cable Street, 1936? Nigel, no Cable Street issue exists in 2026.
Shame on you to impute 1936 to incite hatred and harm to @RestoreBritain supporters, you slanderer
The 2026 issue is safety of our citizens, open borders, illegal immigration and the extreme costs to tax payers.
@Con_Tomlinson It's a good match - the same ole establishment career politicians. Nigel's now a smearer of "isms", "ists" and woke culture that he may as well have a pact with Lab, LibDems and Greens too.
We're sick of the lot of them. The People will take back Parliament with @RestoreBritain
@Skint_Eastwood1 The haughty arrogance of this tax avoider from Dubai.
Rupert does the right thing for the country. Farage does the right thing for him.
Discussion now over and we all know Nigel's position. Good. @RestoreBritain can now get on with the job of saving Britain without Farage.
