Inexcusable! An increasing number of people with disabilities are considering medical assistance in dying due to poverty. #MAID is supposed to be for incurable horrible pain, not Government failing to fix the social safety net #accessibility#AODA#onpoli
I cannot breathe through my nose & mouth because of my tracheotomy & ventilator so wearing a mask is not effective
My vent doesn’t have a filter that’s like an N95 so I depend on others around me to keep me & themselves safe
That’s community care. That’s how it *should* work
73% of adults w/ intellectual disabilities who live alone live in poverty. The #CDB can help change this but only if implemented correctly.

I am shaken every time I read a sign from a disability org reassuring its clients that it will not seek to end their lives. We need to talk about Bill C-7 and the fact that we are killing disabled people who are not at the end of their lives, not just MAiD for mental illness.
When David met David. @davidlepofsky and @HonDavidOnley met in 1995 when Onley did @CityNews story on election issue on #accessibility. Issues they discussed recur for them over next 28 years. 2 minute captioned video: https://t.co/J6i0EKDVgU #AODA#onpoli
