@AYSSPORTS As both a NIU and LSU grad, this is a tough pill to swallow. It's good for NIU over the long haul, but handled horribly. NIU was going to get absolutely waxed in the MW so long as he was HC. He's a fan favorite from his playing days, but refuses to adjust to the NIL world.
@mikenkali@EricLDaugh That would require a check to ACTUALLY be sent first. It was originally going to wipe out income taxes, then we'd all get 8k back, then 5k back, then 2k back, then 2k per family. The only constants in this equation is that it never happens and MAGA staying gullible.
@legitbrittFLA@kommodity2711@RDog861@EricLDaugh No they sure didn't. It is true they were given a Warrior Dividend, but this wasn't new money. It was previously allocated money (already earmarked for housing for the troops). All Trump did was lie about where it came from to make it sound like tarrifs are working.
@marvin_math@CFBPlayoff@IndianaFootball@IndianaUniv@bigten IU only played 3 of 11 teams in the field, not the entire field. They played 6 T10 teams in 16 gms (3 vs T5). LSU played 7 in 15 games (4 vs T5).
They're also doing it when NIL has greatly reduced the odds of a super team.
IU is very good, but your math ain't mathing.
@Namurarf@SportsCastJon1 What happens if the tools are no longer there? If the boosters dont support as needed, can he tolerate knowing he has 1 hand tied behind his back being the competitor he is? If you're good enough, long enough, your backups get poached. Do you have NIL to replace that talent???
@Namurarf@SportsCastJon1 Its funny, my dad grew up On East Lansing, MI...when Saban left MSU, it was Nick Satan in those parts. Successful coaches chase those opportunities they perceive to be better. Cignetti is incredible, I hope he stays and we worry about the IU juggernaut (still sounds weird)
@Luthergp25@Nike@Bengals Best of luck my friend! I was never allowed to get name brands growing up...except a Marlins starter jacket. Then I saw Air and realized I had a lot of unsealed retail trauma from childhood. I wouldn't call myself a sneaker head, but now im able to color coordinate most colors.
@TigahPaul@PGuy77 I don't think they'll have the depth for a real run at a title yr 1. Id put a ceiling at 10-2 with a CFP birth.
Someone's going to get hurt, and while they can be dangerous, who gets hurt will be the determining factor.
@ALBA_NFL@on3@PeteNakos@Hayesfawcett3 I dont see that happening. Its a 1 yr deal for Leavitt to show he's healthy.
I'd imagine the goal is to go for the Heisman (leading LSU to the CFP as a by-product) and increase his draft stock then leave.
This gives LK a chance to develop Clark/Longstreet* for next year.
@cdttalks Hate to break it to you skippy, but Burrow was a 4-star, Jefferson was a 3-star...they had 8 total 5-stars and 4 or 5 those in starters roles.
@JimCollinsJr@Tiger__Vibes I agree LK is fully leveraging the system, but did you hold this smoke for Miami last year? When Portnoy bought Underwood commitment? Texas using lambos? Utah gifting cars to all scholarship players? Yes, LK is doing all he can, but he's not the only one...
