@pdxpragmatist@annbauerwriter Same here. I wfh for a company that had an IPO early this year at $11/share. In less than a year it’s grown to about $20/share and company revenue is at all-time highs. Most of the support staff (HQ) is remote & things are running smooth. Our team also works really well together.
@btc_cfo @andylanks @RobertMSterling My gf’s mom is this way. Both of her kids are in their mid-to-late 30s. She says kids give you purpose, but now that they’re both adults she uses them to regulate her emotions and is a mess whenever either kid isn’t immediately available. I feel sorry for people like that.
@suddenlysally@Janine04897698@nissaarajpoot_@shesbonky We live in a 2BR/1BA apartment. We clean the tiny bathroom floor with 409. We have rugs over like 75% of the floors in the rest of the apt that we vacuum. We don’t wear shoes indoors so nothing gets tracked on the other 25%. We do have a mop now but only use it occasionally.
@Mick74590710365 @bchazan5 @Staroxvia The numbers I tweeted are median wages, so it’s not weighted towards either end of the spectrum. And shouldn’t low-wage industries be the first target? Those are the folks that are struggling the most.
@Mick74590710365 @bchazan5 @Staroxvia Median wages are up 24.8% from ‘20-‘23. Cost of living is up 26.2% from ‘20-‘23.
I mean, technically you aren’t wrong, but that’s a pretty small gap.
And it’s also why Harris wanted to raise the federal minimum wage to $15/hr
@bchazan5 @Staroxvia Prices going down is called deflation and the only times it has really happened in the US were the Great Depression and the Great Recession. It’s generally a sign that the economy is in trouble.
@bchazan5 @Staroxvia No, the growth rate of inflation has been significantly in the negatives the last few years. Inflation is always a growth rate. Inflation going down will never mean prices are going down.
@sergiodelgado@ManagerTactical Do you think it’s coincidence that these two completely different players on two totally different teams won championships with the same exact coach?
@tr3yuk@earlbell312686@MarkEnnis@boltactionjacks These polls are just a compilation of sampled opinions. This is like claiming someone is the “worst spouse in history” then polling their current spouse and their ex and saying that bc their ex disapproved that makes it true. Give us FACTS about what she did as VP, come on man.
@502Ville_n Diehard UofL fan, but if we’re excluding years, why look at anything beyond 5 years? In the FBS, all of the players and the majority of the coaches will no longer be with the program (avg coach tenure is 3.8 yrs). UK has been better in that 5 year span. Let them gloat.
@DariusScottMMA@_CoachLou_@bordeauxyt From 2016-2023, FCS teams beat FBS teams 55 times, that’s more than 8 times per season. Several of those wins (I count at least 13, avg 2 per season) were against power conference teams, 2 against top 20 teams. If we’re going for realism, they’re probably rated too low.
@jimmythetulip24@TerminiAnthony@ninehalo369 @GreeneSZN_ @bordeauxyt RTG is also a term used colloquially in other sports game franchise/dynasty modes. In that context it means “Taking a not-top-tier team and trying to make them great/win trophies.” I might say “I’m going to do a RTG dynasty with South Alabama.” I think that’s what OP meant here.
