I consider indexing to be both information/knowledge work and a creative process, re-interpreting and restructuring a whole book. Automated indexes are still not very good. Any further thoughts, fellow indexers and @djbduncan?

Aimee Wall's talk was excellent. So interesting to learn about the different ways that vernaculars are treated in literary #translation.

And on Sunday at 4:00 pm, Gael Spivak will give our closing talk on current trends in plain language and the use of the singular “they”.
