Would anyone with a Bookseller subscription be willing to send me a screenshot/photo of the July fiction preview from the 10th of April edition? I think I make an appearance! #literarytranslation

Seriously considering moving FELT (@FELTTranslators) over from Slack to Discord now that Slack will be deleting content over a year old, especially now I've discovered you can transfer your archive over. Thoughts for or against very welcome!

Just submitted my first full-length book translation to the publisher! Announcement coming soon. Now nobody ask me to make any decisions for at least a week because I just made 60,000 in a row 🛌
Really enjoyed this brilliant adaptation of Kim Thúy’s ‘Ru’ for the screen, though it has cemented my need for a badge reading ‘I’m okay, I’ve just seen a sad film’ to wear on the way home from the cinema
Maggie Zebracka: On (In)Visibility - My translation doesn’t want to wear white to someone else’s wedding, but it does want to throw its own party, in its own house. It wants a version of linguistic hospitality, the chance to play host. https://t.co/qAsmnKlmK3
Hope everyone attending @bcltuea #BCLT has had a brilliant week! For any French-to-English attendees eager to carry on collaborating, a growing community of friendly FR–EN literary translators is just a click away at https://t.co/KzwEvWiXPd.
I’ve started a new Slack community for French-to-English literary translators: FELT (@FELTTranslators)! I hope it’ll be somewhere we can share tips and opportunities, vent and exchange drafts for feedback. Visit https://t.co/NfamNpGjcp for an invite link and get involved!
Just got to add my name to the credits of a documentary as one of the translators! Watch this space for the screenshot/photo of it in the finished version when it comes out (I may get T-shirts made)
The English translation of Marcel Proust's Seventy-Five Folios (thought to be lost until they were rediscovered in 2018) is out today from Belknap Press. I had the pleasure of copy-editing it and Sam Taylor's translation is a joy to read!
