confession i dont get why we judge a language for how it pronounces a loanword bc im pretty sure there isnt a single language on earth that actually preserves the native pronunciation of all its loanwords. like its literally a completely natural linguistic process you guys its ok

@AbsolutePoolcom Amazing performance. First pro pool tournament I’ve been able to attend and I’d have liked to see a close battle in at least one of the matches but I’ll take having witnessed that instead. The consistency of his breaking (and everything else!) was astonishing.

@Bill_Flood @MitchWex @APStylebook AP is a style guide not a dictionary, and the tweet is just their guidance on which form of the word to use if you’re writing to their style (and as a Brit I can confirm that in this case it’s also the word choice that won’t make me roll my eyes if you’re talking to me 🤣).
