Self-esteem is developed in early childhood. It is important for parents and teachers to not be too harsh when students make small mistakes. This could lead to self-defeating mindsets. Encourage children, and guide them to correct their mistakes in a productive manner.

Teachers, be empathetic to the teacher your student had the year before. Just because the student lost some skills over the summer does not mean they didn’t cover it during the year. We are a team! We should be working together to reach goals and not pointing fingers #teachteam

Project based learning is an awesome way students can learn different topics and practice using problem solving and critical thinking skills. PBL is a more authentic learning experience that uses higher levels of thinking. #Bloom’s #Taxonomy #pbl

Behavior strategies work! My personal favorite are “Table Points.” Whichever system you use do so consistently. #TEACHers
