Patrick Beverley was arrested for assault on a family member (impeding breath), which is a 3rd-degree felony.

The report says Pat Beverley was called home after his 15-year-old sister snuck out to see her boyfriend. He allegedly grabbed her by the neck with both hands, lifted her off the ground, and squeezed for 20–30 seconds until she couldn’t breathe, then carried her while still choking her, slammed her into walls, laid her on a couch, stood over her, and punched her once in the left eye. He also allegedly told her he would “be the family member that k*lls” her. Deputies noted visible neck marks and petechiae which are burst blood vessels in the whites of her eyes, consistent with strangulation
