10 amazing volunteers spent 2hrs clearing up a local park: 6 large bags, 3 footballs, 1 bike frame, 1 bike wheel, 1 basketball net and stand 😡
Hopefully it stays like this for the foreseeable future 🤞
@abcb_council
This little guy was on his last legs laying on a brick so gave him some sugar water + after a while, placed him on a marigold for some nectar… save the bees!!! 🤜🤛
We were asked about @CranfordAction at today's launch of Harlech Gardens - we said that they were probably busy rescuing some park or road verge from mountains of litter pollution. You are just amazing & so determined. Thank you 🙏
Stairway down to the park has been left overgrown + littered…
Not anymore 💪
This is where having some pride in your area can change the outlook - it’s more inviting, tidy, nowhere for litter to clutter…👍
We challenge you to find a local spot + give it a refresh 🤜🤛
Great catch up with @CranfordAction yday, only 4 of us but still managed over 20 bags - mad! These groups are what councils rely on cos the reality is they can’t be everywhere so community pride is the way forward 🤜🤛
Picked up a couple of beer bottles from Annalong yday - it’s not just the littering aspect which infuriates me, it’s the fact that these would be smashed into pieces by the waves 🤬 no excuse just to put it in a bin 😒
Bit of a jungle in the potato bags but coming along nicely 😎 easiest thing to grow - grab a grow bag or large bucket, add some potatoes with roots shooting, throw in your compost + top it off as the flowers grow! Likely a potato shortage this year so sitting on a gold mine 😎
Our pallet planters are coming along nicely 😎 spring onions + garlics in this one with some summer flowers on top for the bees 😎 a really simple upcycled project perfect for gardens with little space 👌
