One day we are going to discuss how
W. F. Kumuyi convinced members of his church that watching television (the so-called Devil’s Box) and listening to radio were sins since 1973.

But in 2022 he turned around and said it is no longer a sin to watch television or listen to radio.

For decades, Deeper Life members were cut off from news and participation in politics.

Many lives were destroyed as a result of this policy, and families were torn apart. Parents even turned against their children who refused to comply.

And then, in 2022, when it became evident that streaming of live service will help his church remain relevant in a fast-paced world, the Devil’s Box suddenly became God’s Box, it was no longer a sin to watch tv, listen to radio or use Social Media, just like that.

No accountability. No apologies for all these years of deceit.
