Apparently, some people believe that you are not truly Yoruba unless you practice the traditional religion. They seem to equate being Muslim or Christian with being opposed to Yoruba identity and culture. However, religious affiliation does not diminish one's ethnic identity;
@CEruobodo Yes bcos when Yorùbá Identify was about to erase in 18th century, it was our warrior that stopped the expansion in Osogbo 1840. However if such situation is about to repeat itself, The Yorùbá tọkọn t'ọkan will stood up to challenge any religion that want to erase our identity
@CEruobodo If only our people travel around a lot like others they would quickly realise that northerners who shout Shari'a here and in the media are scammers because for all their performative noise, there is no Shari'a in Northern Nigeria 😂
It's all smoke and vibes. Isekuse po nibi!😂
@CEruobodo Praying is Shari'a. Fasting is Shari'a. You cannot oppose Shari'a and remain a Muslim. Shari'a is the body of legislation that defines Islam. Opposing Shari'a doesn't only make you less Muslim; it is much worse.
Also, being a Muslim is not mandatory in Nigeria.
