Despite meh athleticism, Andrey is a really good screener who understands how to cut off passing lanes and track runs, progresses the ball well through the middle, moves the ball v quickly and is good in the air going both ways

I would sell Lavia before Andrey Santos all day, everyday. At least Andrey is extremely durable and seems really invested. And I think Xabi can improve him. Whereas Roméo isn’t even available to improve.

But always harder to sell the injury prone one.

Mike Maignan wanted Chelsea. The club walked away instead of paying AC Milan's asking price.

Now Xabi Alonso wants Granit Xhaka. Xhaka is open to the move, yet Chelsea are reportedly unwilling to pay the fee because they believe it's too much for a 33-year-old who can improve the team immediately.

Ironically, they'll spend a similar amount on a 16-year-old with no guarantee of making an impact.

Is this really how they're planning to back Xabi Alonso, or are they setting him up to walk away too? 😕

Sunderland refused to sell Granit Xhaka for any price and stood firm. Chelsea were willing to offer more than what they initially offered.

The Swiss star wanted the reunion with Xabi Alonso, but does not get it. It feels like the lowball offer ended all possibilities.
