When I think about what we’ve lacked these last few seasons, a lot of our issues come back to lacking: height, athleticism, and physicality. Now, think about our first two signings of the summer and our strongest link:
- Marco Palestra is 6’1” (looks like a mountain on the pitch)
- Morgan Rogers is 6’2”
- Maxence Lacroix* is 6’3”
Height aside, Marco and Morgan in particular both cover a LOT of ground, with elite engines (yes, they also fit Xabi’s football style to a T). Lacroix will finally add some height + aerial ability in our back line (with Colwill).
Xabi has analyzed the squad and understands EXACTLY what we need this summer. Early signs under the Xabi era are positive.
