The Churston debating team comprising Lucas, Izzy, Genny and Emory took part in the second round of the English Speaking Union's Mace Debating competition. We unfortunately missed going through to the Regional Final by a narrow margin.

As part of Apprenticeship Week a selection of students from Year 7 to Year 10 took part in a live apprenticeship assembly that was streamed from South Devon College.

After the session students were asked to give feedback to our Careers Leader Mrs. Barnabay.

The U15 girls cricket team finished a fantastic season by becoming Devon champions! Unbeaten in the hardball cup competition, the girls went from strength to strength with some outstanding performances. Well done girls!

It was a big moment for our Year 11 students as they received their mock GCSE results recently! This was an important step in their journey, helping them reflect on their progress, identify areas for improvement, and set goals for the final stretch.

Our Year 8 girls travelled to Millfield to play in an invitational tournament, where they were up against a selection of private schools. They held their own and played some very successful Netball, finishing third out of 10 schools.

Year 11's trip to see Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde at Torquay's Princess Theatre was a great success this week. Students enjoyed seeing the classic story on stage and explored ideas about the duality of man.

Churston Ferrers U15’s netball team delivered an exceptional performance in the State Schools Qualifiers, remaining undefeated throughout the afternoon. With this dominant performance, Churston Ferrers U15’s have now qualified for the South West Finals in March.

Our Year 7 students have been busy whipping up delicious and healthy 3-ingredient flapjacks in their Food Technology class! Using just bananas, oats, and dark chocolate chips, they created a snack that’s both nutritious and tasty.

The U13 boys cricket team competed at the South Devon indoor cricket competition at Paignton Hub last week. The boys had a fantastic day and played some outstanding cricket throughout.

On Friday 17th January, Year 5 children from Eden Park Primary School came to Churston for enrichment activities run by Year 12 students.

The children thrived on the enthusiasm and professionalism of our amazing sixth formers.
