Concordian Al Filipov was a passenger on American Airlines Flight 11, the first hijacked plane to crash into the World Trade Center. In his honor each year two local first responders receive the Al Filipov Award for Courage and Service. FF/EMT Brendan Lyons is our 2020 recipient.
