In a move completely opposed to the stated priorities of the #MAHA movement, @EPA just announced the re-approval of the dangerous, drift-prone pesticide dicamba to be sprayed on genetically engineered cotton and soybeans.

A new analysis found #PFAS in waterways of 10 CA counties (largely from PFAS #pesticides), yet Trump wants to remove limits on PFAS in drinking water. While we fight PFAS pesticides in court, can you tell EPA to cancel PFAS ingredients in pesticides?

Yesterday, @CFSTrueFood and @ProtectOurShore were in federal court to protect Washington state's coast from industrial shellfish aquaculture. Shellfish operations span hundreds of acres of Washington's sensitive coastal habitat & have significant impacts on the environment.
Environmental groups are suing @PacificSeafood, one of the largest seafood companies in the country, over alleged aquaculture pollution to the Columbia River.

This proposal is a huge step backwards. We need stronger protections against PFAS "forever chemicals" in our water and our food system, not a repeal of the scant protections already in place.
Breaking news: The EPA proposed repealing limits on four types of “forever chemicals” in drinking water.
The proposal would end the Biden-era restrictions on four PFAS compounds and give utilities more time to comply with limits on two others. https://t.co/5GMu4BxYOx
"This decision is a vital victory for thousands of endangered species at risk from toxic pesticides across the country, including many pollinators critical to our food system," - George Kimbrell, legal director for @CFSTrueFood
🎉HUGE VICTORY for #EndangeredSpecies and #pollinators as a court ruled the FWS failed to protect over 1,500 endangered species from the neurotoxic #pesticide malathion.

The @EPA is only putting cancer warnings on 1.4% of the pesticide products that have an ingredient designated as “probable” or “likely” to cause cancer.
That's a grand total of 69 out of the 4,919 pesticide product labels.
More than 80 environmental groups including CFS are asking the Trump administration to reduce #nitrate pollution in lakes, rivers and groundwater. Nitrate exposure is a public health crisis linked to cancers, birth defects and other health harms.
The House just voted 224-200 to pass a deeply flawed Farm Bill Here is part of @foe_us statement:
"While the Food Movement across the political spectrum scored a significant victory by getting the liability shields for pesticide companies removed, this bill remains a sweeping giveaway to corporate agribusiness at the expense of farmers, public health, and rural communities.
American farmers are being squeezed from every direction, and this Farm Bill does nothing to ease that pressure. By gutting conservation programs and failing to invest in organic agriculture, Congress is missing a critical opportunity to help farmers break free from the costly chemical fertilizer and toxic pesticide treadmill. We need a Farm Bill that gives farmers real tools and real support – not one that weakens environmental and animal welfare protections, and further entrenches industrial agriculture. Congress must do better. The Senate must do better.”
🚨HUGE WIN! The House just voted 280-142 to REMOVE controversial pesticide immunity provisions from the Farm Bill! Thank you to everyone who took action and fought for this victory!
Take action and send a message to your Representative today to support the amendment stripping out pesticide immunity provisions from the Farm Bill!

🚨The rule the House will consider this morning allows a vote on @RepLuna’s farm bill amendment to strip out controversial pesticide provisions, as @politico reported
MAHA advocates argue the current farm bill text shields pesticide companies from lawsuits
And, Rs think it’s unlikely they have the votes to defeat the Luna amendment on the floor - given widespread support among Dems and a group of Republicans. They fear it will pass.
Here’s the rule: https://t.co/occDOOJ9lO
Net pen aquaculture operations are like factory farms in the water. We're fighting to ensure they aren't polluting the rivers and oceans they're located in.

EPA head Lee Zeldin claimed he never met with Bayer officials to discuss legal issues tied to the company’s Roundup pesticide, which has been linked to cancer cases. But after the Trump administration sided with Bayer in the legal fight over Roundup, AOC confronted him over what she described as a conflict-of-interest lie.
MAHA went ballistic over Trump’s glyphosate order. “There is a level of anger and frustration like I’ve never witnessed before,” said a conservative wellness influencer.
Imagine their reaction when they learn that Roundup is being sprayed heavily in America’s forests. https://t.co/rwdczurdPn
