Let’s talk about the US mail. I wrote a thank you note in late June. Yes. An honest-to-God, handwritten thank you note. Put a stamp on it, put it in the mailbox, put up the little red flag. Next day, little red flag is down, mailbox is empty. I live in North Carolina, the addressee is in Washington, DC.

On Aug 27, I received the following text from the person to whom the thank you note was addressed:

“I just got an envelope addressed to me from you, postmarked June 23, but the envelope was opened and nothing was in it. Do you recall what was in it?”

I said “a thank you note to you for….” I asked if she could send a photo of the envelope. Yup. That is the envelope with my return address…. Addressed to my friend. It took 9 weeks plus two days for a simple first class piece of mail to arrive at its destination from NC to the District of Columbia, and it was missing the contents.

Then today, I saw an email chain on the NextDoor app, which I occasionally peruse. What got my attention was that the starting post was from someone who lives nearby who had paid some bills by writing checks, putting them into the envelope with stamps, placing the envelopes in his mailbox, and subsequently learning that the mail had been stolen, the checks cleared his bank account the next day from a location a few towns away. Bad stuff. But the response from all the replies was totally unsympathetic. All the replies were that “you cannot possibly put a check in the mailbox and be surprised that it is then stolen or mis-delivered”. With all the accompanying stories of similar bad experiences.

And yet, we are all supposed to suspend our brains when the subject turns to voting by mail. @realDonaldTrump is somehow a dictator for trying to make sure that ballots sent / returned by mail are tracked, that the addresses are accurate, the voters are citizens … and the Democrats and some puke GOP Secretaries of State howl about how trying to secure this absurdly insecure system is a terrible, awful thing.

Couple of thoughts:

We MUST reduce the quantity of voting by mail by reestablishing true “absentee” voting. The only people who should be allowed to vote by mail are those who cannot get to the polls to vote in person. That would significantly increase the possibility that the ballots cast by mail might be authentic and timely. The reduction in volume might help with oversight of the process. I emphasize “might”.

But here’s the real question: If you won the lottery….would you put your winning lottery ticket in an envelope, put a stamp on it and put it in the US mail?

I didn’t think so. Neither would I. And my ballot, my vote, is easily as valuable as a lottery ticket.

God used me this morning when I least expected it.

I ran out of soda last night and the boys wanted donuts.

So I get up this morning and shoot down the street to the Dollar General and there is one lady working, but she's on her phone clearly upset.

I put the soda and donuts on the counter and she tells the person on the phone, "I got to go."

Then she says, "I guess I am wrong for grieving."

The tears start to flow. It was just her and I in the store, not one other person.

I asked if she was okay and if she had recently lost someone.

She said, "My daughter, my precious 10 year old daughter 2 months ago to cancer." The tears flowed down her face and my heart ached for her.

I was so glad there were no other customers in the store.

She continued, "I don't even know why I am here. Someone called in sick and I had to come in and I've not had time to grieve my child."

I said I was so sorry for her loss and I told her I remembered the story about her on the news. I also said I could never imagine the pain one must feel from losing a child.

I told her I was a Christian and she said she was too.

I asked if I could give her a hug and I gave her a great big hug as a customer walked in.

I told her I would be lifting her up in prayer all day and also put her on my prayer list.

Today, I went to meet an old friend… a friend I have known for the last 20 years. And my Cane Corso was with me.
When I arrived at his house, he saw my dog and immediately said, 
"Tie him outside… I don't like Cane Corsos."
Then he said, let's go inside and have a drink.
I just smiled slightly.
I looked down at my dog… the same dog who trusts me so much that sometimes he sleeps on my chest as if he has no fear of anything in the world.

(THE ONLY PLACE THEY DIDN'T PRAY WAS IN THE SUPREME COURT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA - THE "SEAT OF JUSTICE", THAT'S IN THE "ONE NATION, UNDER GOD.")

SOMEHOW, KINGSTON, TENNESSEE, REMEMBERED WHAT SO MANY HAVE NOW FORGOTTEN.

4. Wanton disregard for human life.

7. Tribalism to an extreme: tribe trumps truth and justice, always.

8. In the Gulf Arab countries, “Third Country Nationals” from poor Muslim countries engaged in menial labor and literally treated as slaves.

10. Acceptance of the idea that lying can be and is necessary and proper.

I've read and heard similar descriptions so many times from numerous sources with first hand experiences I lost track long ago.

People close to me spent time professionally -- not military -- in these environments and came away with the same views.

Third world Islam is not compatible with Western culture -- it simply is not and will never be.

It is a religiously compelled imperial invading force. It wants what the West has, and it will kill to take it.

🚨 Just so we’re all on the same page, I monitor this specific group at the University of Texas at Dallas like a hawk.

I check in with the State Dept, the Visa Consular office in DC, DHS, and the university itself, every single month.

They're all still here, still employed, still enrolled, with the exception of one student who now works for 'American Muslims for Palestine (AMP), a powerful Palestinian lobbying group whose co-founder was recently arrested by ICE for terror ties and visa fraud.

These mugshots are the professors and students (many are foreigners here on visas) who were arrested at the pro-Palestine rally last year on campus.

They called for a global uprising against Jews and Israel. Some of them screeched their brains out in Arabic, chanting for the destruction of America.

One professor from India (top row, 3rd), fought with the police as they attempted to disband the riot and arrest students.

Not a single one of these individuals has been fired, expelled, or lost their visa. NOT. ONE.

In fact, some of these students had their visas revoked by the State Department, only to have them reinstated.

Let me say that again: The STATE DEPARTMENT reinstated their visas.

Visa revocation is NOT deportation. If this is truly "the most transparent White House in history," Americans deserve the operational numbers: How many students and professors have actually been removed from the United States since January 2025?

How many? From which campuses? And which countries did they return to?

OPEN THE BOOKS, DHS and State Department. Let's see what's doin.
