Both NOAA and USAF hurricane hunter have now had to return early from missions in #Melissa due to turbulence over the past few days. That says volumes about the intensity of this storm. https://t.co/Eu0cbTh876
Happy International ATC day!
ATC are the unseen heroes guiding thousands of flights each day and, in the U.S., the FAA manages over 16 million flights annually, making air travel the safest mode of transportation in the world.
Thank you ATC for keeping our skies safe!
🌄Have you ever been to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park?
Up until the 1930s, families still lived in homes like this one- before the land was taken to create the park. By 1935, most residents were forced to relocate, leaving behind their homes, schools, and churches forever.
This is the Caldwell House, built over a period of ten years between 1893 and 1903. It’s one of several examples of historic architecture preserved within the park and is cared for by the National Park Service.
