Granit Xhaka currently ranks 1st amongst all Arsenal CMs for passes into the final 3rd (including PER 90).
Overall he is also ranked 2nd in the entire PL despite being forced to drop in as a LB.
Drop the false narrative Arsenal ‘fans’
🚨 Real Madrid reach agreement with Chelsea to sign Marc Cucurella. 27yo left-back joins #RMFC from #CFC for €60m - €55m fixed + €5m bonuses. Spain international’s deal done at rapid speed & now on to paperwork stage @TheAthleticFC after @FabrizioRomano https://t.co/Otq9CUKH6q
We spent £145m on Kalvin Phillips, Matheus Nunes and Nico Gonzalez trying to fill the Fernandinho-sized hole in midfield.
We spent another £85m on Mateo Kovacic and Tijjani Reijnders trying to replace İlkay Gundogan.
Years later, neither role has truly been replaced.
Sometimes the expensive option is the cheap option. Buy cheap, buy twice. That’s exactly why City should go all in for Elliot Anderson.
🚨 Bayer Leverkusen win race for Kennet Eichhorn. Massive interest from Germany + England but 16yo Hertha Berlin midfielder selected #Bayer04 after pursuit led by Simon Rolfes & Kim Falkenberg. Release clause to be activated @TheAthleticFC post @Plettigoal https://t.co/oAaMvVDIwt
Leipzig wanting £100m+ for Diomande after one season, Bournemouth wanting £80m for Scott after one breakthrough season and West Ham wanting £80m for Fernandes after going down.
These fees used to be reserved for superstars. How did we get to this point?
Great talent but I trust Arteta’s judgement. If he’s good enough he’ll stay, if he isn’t he won’t.
Going to be hard for him to get minutes with Dowman playing both the positions that he can.
My understanding on Ethan Nwaneri:
At this stage, every option remains on the table — another loan, a permanent move, or staying as part of the first-team squad. A clearer picture should emerge over the next month when Ethan and his representatives meet with Arteta.
Despite reports linking him with clubs such as Newcastle United and Borussia Dortmund, I’m told there are currently no negotiations taking place.
That said, it’s no secret that relations between Ethan’s father and Mikel Arteta have been strained, particularly over the proposed Marseille loan, which the Nwaneri camp strongly favoured. Arsenal’s concerns were reflected in their push to include financial penalties tied to a lack of playing time.
The market could also influence the outcome. If a significant offer arrives, Arsenal will have a major decision to make.
Personally, I still believe the right loan move is the best pathway — giving Ethan the minutes, development and experience all parties want to see.
It’s also worth noting that Ethan’s future could have a knock-on effect on whether Emerson Nwaneri signs his scholarship.
Right now, I’d be surprised if Ethan Nwaneri is still in red and white after pre-season, but we’ll see how things develop.
For now, all possibilities remain open.
🚨💣 | 𝐁𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆:
Arsenal have officially added “Champions” above the away entrance at the Emirates stadium.
is this elite mentality, or just unnecessary insecurity?
When Manchester City and Liverpool dominated the Premier League, they let their football do the talking without needing to redecorate the tunnel.
Robertson could have chosen Juventus (or realistically any club with European Football).
Senesi could have chosen any club with European football.
Savinho could have stayed at Manchester City and fought for his place under Maresca.
Van Hecke could have spoken to other clubs.
They all wanted Tottenham.
Football Food Chain (current day):
Real Madrid > Barcelona/Bayern/City > Liverpool > PSG > Chelsea > United > Arsenal > Inter Milan
🚨 EXCL: Bayern Munich exploring move to sign Rio Ngumoha. 17yo Liverpool winger primary #FCBayern target for left side & aware of pursuit. No contact yet between clubs. #LFC insist not for sale + plan to strengthen attack rather than weaken @TheAthleticFC https://t.co/mYbWdds6Ip
They think we’re going to forget what they were all saying until Arteta absolutely schooled Emery in December.
Emery isn’t close to Arteta as a manager.
Arsenal fan if you were to make transfer decisions for Arsenal which option will you go for?

£275m
OR
Alvarez £120m + Marco Palestra £35m + Tonali £70m + Esposito £40m.

What a first season for Rayan Cherki 😮💨
Here come the final fans telling us the ref was spot on and quoting some rules they’ve pulled out of their asses when we all know we’ll never see a ref do this again
This is really just poor refereeing. No team is obligated to sprint to take a set piece. That's the entire point of having extra time at the end of the half. You can't "waste time" that will be given back. The corner is even worse cause there was literally no time left to waste.

🚨 Yan Diomandé: “Paris Saint-Germain is a team I’ve loved since I was a child. My father supports Paris Saint-Germain, and it’s a team I admire as a football fan”, told L’Equipe.
“It would be a pleasure for me to come and play here with one of the biggest clubs. It’s always a pleasure to come here because, with French being spoken, I think adapting wouldn’t be difficult. But why not?”.
“I don’t think I’m looking ahead to the future or focusing on anything else. As I’ve said, I remain focused on the World Cup. After that, the clubs will sort things out between themselves and we’ll see what happens next”, added to Telefoot.
