An average Nwa boy in Igbo land is living larger than a captain in the Nigerian army of today.

Zero commercial plane crashes in last 10 years.
SIXTEEN military plane crashes in last 10 years
After back to back commercial plane crashes in the early/mid 2000s, OBJ set the NCAA straight with crazy reforms & it has since reflected in the numbers.
The Military is exempt from NCAA regulations (ngl I get why) and this is also reflecting in the numbers.
In aviation, corruption & complacency are recipes for disaster.
Moral Of The Story: this won’t stop until sweeping reforms are made in whatever bodies that oversee our military’s aviation.
My biggest fear for Nigeria is no longer how bad things are.
It is that the Nigerians who have never known anything better are becoming the majority.
They have no memory of what functional looks like. No reference point for what they should expect.
And you cannot demand a standard you don’t even know exists.
Kai! I have been here in Nigeria for almost two months, I can confidently say that I cannot retire and live here, nope. Nigeria is a hard contact sport. I will visit regularly but this is not a place for young children and the elderly. Una dey try sha, SMH😭
*pats American passport in the pocket of jalabiya* I thank Onugo of my ancestors that it was the Nigerian passport I flung into the filthy gutters of Festac!

I agree.
My marriage to my wife has taught me that marriage is a partnership, not competition.
The years leading to our marriage were turbulent for me. But the day I married this woman was the day I married peace into my life.
I married her into extreme lack. She endured the months when there was hardly any money, when we trekked long distances, and when even feeding was a struggle. There was a period when, as a breastfeeding mother, what I could afford was sometimes pap and beans.😃
Then abundance came. Then scarcity came again. We have seen different seasons together.
When I was struggling to raise money for the yoghurt business, she took ₦1 million from her cooperative to support the dream.
When her own career brought an opportunity for us to relocate abroad, it became my turn to stand behind her dream.
When I moved to the UK, she paid a year’s rent plus a huge deposit and took care of me and our four children while I found my feet.
This is what I understand marriage to be.
It is not about keeping score: “I brought this, you brought that.” Sometimes one person carries more financially. Sometimes the other does. Seasons change.
But through every season, you should know: this person has my back, and I have theirs.
And perhaps one of the things I treasure most is this: in all the years we have been married, through lack, abundance, relocation, raising four children, business failures and successes, I cannot remember one day that my wife deliberately disrespected me or use any negative words on me.
Marriage is two people saying:
“This is OUR life. This is OUR home. These are OUR responsibilities. These are OUR dreams. We will build them together.”
Choose someone who has your back and be the kind of person who has theirs too.
Good evening.
@ChisomAgbafor There's nothing new to study. Gender dynamics have been exhaustively researched. There're tons of literature out there, more than enough, if only this generation didn't bother more about shallow perfunctory grandstanding rather than real qualitative conversations.
I joined a church of England a prayer meeting beside my apartment at Darlaston 🇬🇧.
8 senior citizens (6 British, 1 Latino, 1 Austrian) and below are the prayer points:
- Thank God for summer that brightened our trees and blossomed the flowers that daily beautifies our sight. 😳 Do we even remember to thank God for rain or harmattan? (The NEXT ONE OFF ME)
- Prayers for plastic recyclers who strive to preserve God’s earth and the ecosystem 🤣 Like are you guys kidding?
- Prayer for the council cleaners who pack the excessive leaves and flowers falling off trees in summer, cause they now have more work to do….😳 Omo do we even remember those sweepers on the highway?
- Prayers for peacemakers and negotiators around conflict zones around the world……Like play - Like play 1 Hour was done.
I smiled all through the prayers - guess you already know why..As a preacher/revivalist from Nigeria?
ÓYÁ PE ORÚKO JÉSÙ LÉÈ MÉTA KÓ SÁN BÍ ÀRÁ…….
INA OLORUN (21 Times)
AGBARA EMI- MIMO O (219 times)
Yeah…….we love our prayers like that. 🔥💥❤️
Very energetic and charismatic.
The beauty is GOD HEARS EVERYONE..
But may God hear our prayer in Africa o and raise us capable leaders that can structure the kind of governance/order to even remember this kind of prayer points.
It’s always amazing everytime I criss-cross the nations and worship with multi-cultural audiences.
God bless those parishioners of St Lawrence Catholic Church Darlaston (Church of England)

2 weeks ago, I lost my team leader, an Assistant Superintendent of Police. He had a history of cardiovascular troubles. We partied on Friday at the office, celebrating another officer's retirement. After the celebrations, he had complications on his way home, was rushed to the FMC Onitsha. When it became obvious the hospital wasn't gonna help in any meaningful way, he was rushed to a private hospital where he eventually died.
A man who had served this country for over 25years, gone, just like that, because an FMC couldn't render meaningful help.
2 years ago, an older friend of mine lost his barely 3month old son in Kaduna. An expired medication was "mistakenly" administered on him by the hospital. The man already advanced in age, who struggled with childbearing, nearly didn't survive the tragedy.
12 years ago, I spent about 1 week at the National Orthopaedic Hospital Enugu with my younger brother who underwent a surgery to correct his bow-leg. The traumatic experience I had in that 1 week, left me with a permanent hate for nurses. 2 weeks after the surgery we discovered it was very poorly done, a corrective surgery had to be conducted at a private hospital.
But then, someone like myself who's in an equally challenged institution/sector understand more than anyone that it isn't a personnel problem. Healthcare professionals aren't magicians: they can't make bed spaces magically appear; they can't put you on oxygen if in big 2026 there isn't any available in our hospitals. They can't attend to you with a happy face when their welfare is so criminally poor that they have to always resort to industrial action.
Speak to your friends in the healthcare sector. A Doctor-friend of mine who graduated 3 years ago told me recently that about 70% of his class are already out of the country or actively processing their exit.
Anyway. Like Healthcare, like Police.

I have seen a damaged woman set up her husband to be arrested on Christmas eve. So that she can go out to go and meet ghe man she's having affair with...And that broke him.
See, a man can have an amazing single life...boom! He gets married to a damaged woman and his life takes a downward trajectory.
A man can come from a stable family home where real family values are practiced, then he marries a woman from a dysfunctional home where chaos is normal, toxicity is the culture, and everyone operates on a dog-eat-dog, survival-of-the-fittest mindset. Boom. His life takes a tragic turn.
He can no longer pass on the stability and values he grew up with to his kids because because of the kind of atmosphere created by the woman he chose.
If you come from a stable home, you have no business marrying a woman from a dysfunctional one.
How do you build a family with someone who does not understand family values? It is like trying to construct a house with a person who has never held a tool.
Check her background. Check the lifestyle of her mum. Check who has the final say in their family. If it's the mum that runs the show, you are in for trouble.
Well, people from dysfunctional homes deserve marriage. But you shouldn't be among the people that will marry one of them.
You cannot fix someone who has not even admitted they need fixing. Marrying unprocessed baggage is a direct path to destruction.
Protect your peace. Protect your future. Choose wisely.
But men no dey hear word. Plenty of us still want to play messiah. You will see the dysfunction clearly and still marry her because you believe you can heal, save, restore, and redeem her.
Pele o Mr Saviour!
