A defining milestone. A new chapter for India's semiconductor journey. With the commencement of commercial production and the dispatch of the very first shipment from our CG Semi facility, we are proud to contribute to India's growing role in the global semiconductor value chain.
In his address, our chairman, Mr Vellayan Subbiah, outlined the vision, quality, and deep partnership strengths driving this achievement:

"Today, we celebrate India’s emerging role in the global semiconductor supply chain. It is deeply symbolic that our first shipment is going to global customers of Renesas, our Japanese partner. After all, Japan has long been synonymous with precision, discipline, and quality."

Our collaborative ecosystem, strengthened by the technology and manufacturing expertise of Renesas Electronics Corporation and Stars Microelectronics, ensures that every chip manufactured at CG Semi meets the absolute highest global standards of quality, reliability and excellence.

We are deeply honoured by the presence and encouraging words of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji. Acknowledging the Chairman's thoughts and the rapid milestone execution at the facility, the Prime Minister noted with pride:

"Kaam bolta hai... Kaam bole chhe!" (Work speaks for itself).

The Prime Minister reiterated the national vision for a robust, self-reliant tech ecosystem, emphasizing that India's goal is to build the entire semiconductor value chain, from chip design to fabrication and advanced packaging domestically.
