No more screwing around. I want to make a game. So I'm setting some deadlines.
1. Steam store page goes live April 20th
2. I complete my full pitch deck by June 1st
3. Kickstarter campaign launches July 6th
Let's see if I can meet some self set deadlines! #indiegame#gamedev
Decided to update my banner and display name to better represent my game rather than my studio... Anyone else debate what's the best way to portray yourself and your game here on X?

Any #speedrun#streamers or #gamers out there looking for the next #indiegame to push the limits on? I want my game "DESIGNATION: Jump Trooper" to allow for fun speed running opportunities similar to ALTF4 does. Any input on what makes for a great perma-death, 3d platformer?
What part of #indiegame development do you prioritize first?
For my current game I did a bunch of brainstorming in a notepad and then decided to tackle the blueprinting/game mechanics first.
What did all you other #gamedev do?
@SpringDingGames Is this just an example section of the environment, or does the whole environment work as floating islands? It looks great on that blue sky backdrop
@sensational965 I'm very early in my project, but I think the most rewarding so far has been when I successfully create a game mechanic that works the way I was envisioning. I feel like Einstein when that clicks lol
@TheIndieManiac@adredev Out of curiosity. With a post like this, what's the ideal response? Are you seeking screenshots, videos, trailers, or just descriptions? (Or all the above)
@VistaLargaGames Yeah that's definitely a long damn time to devote to a single project for sure. I told myself when I started this game that I just wanted 3-5 hours of solid gameplay for players in the hopes that I could do it in under 1 year.
Lately I feel like I need to scale back my game and just get it released on steam since it's my first one. What are other people's thoughts on this?
