🐦⬛New Game Announcement!🔥
Well Dweller is a dark fairy-tale metroidvania about a tiny bird armed with a matchstick on a quest to burn the wicked queen. I previously made Crypt Custodian and Islets and I’m so excited to share this new game!
Wishlist now on Steam, link below!
The launch discount on Well Dweller ends tomorrow, and it marks 2 weeks since release! Console patches are being sent in very soon, I'll post an update when that is finalized. Thanks so much for all the support at launch, I really appreciate it!
@temakhlebnikov So if she left the boss, but managed to get the golden feather otherwise somehow then it would count the boss as "complete" and block you from re-entering it
@temakhlebnikov Hey! That is very strange, I haven't heard that before. I looked at the code, and the gate is directly tied to the feather after the boss, so if the gate is locked it means you have collected the feather after the boss.
Thanks so much for such an amazing launch day! I'm overwhelmed and really really grateful for all the support. It means a ton, Well Dweller has already done so much better than I ever could have expected and I am so thankful for that. (1/2)
@AndrewNye9 Thanks! And in the next patch (already on Steam, but coming elsewhere very soon) there will be checkpoints in the chase on easy difficulty, so you can switch to easy until the chase is done.
@Hollow_Knighter If you change the “camera zoom” setting on graphics options to “x1”, it will fix it, it’s in the process of being patched sorry about that!
@Tropos_AR it is a lot easier to learn when you are a kid and it sticks in your head. When I tried jumping back into gamedev again as an adult it was very seamless since I had learned the basics as a kid
@Tropos_AR Yeah, in my 30s, no college or professional gamedev experience. I started tinkering with game engines for a few years as a kid (ages 12-17 or so) and then stopped for a decade before trying again. I suggest he start playing around with game engines now, (1/2)
@Needmorepudds Thank you! Mostly just systems (the map system, menu system, save system, etc) but that saves a ton of time since they take a really long time to code initially
