Our lovely Twitter has been quiet the last few weeks due to the craziness of this final term ☀️

However, Y6 have made amazing #persuasive #leaflets and #posters linking to #climatechange 🌍

We’ve made the most of the warm weather too 🎨

Da iawn pawb 👏🏼

A wonderful end to the week @Talycopaschool Y6 worked so hard in their literacy sessions! 👏🏼Using #blooket to answer questions about #planetsos 🌍 After finishing off some fantastic #vocabulary work and using #analyse and #connect skills 💡 #chclusterteam #year6 @CHEnglishTeam

[Cefn Hengoed Cluster Team @CHClusterteam]

Great day yesterday at @PentrechwythPS Y6 worked extremely hard in #numeracy. Our focus was #fractions using booklets and #topmarks on the 💻 Then we had #literacy focusing on #planetsos 🗺 We also had a #hotseat task🔥 Da iawn all👏🏼 @CHCSMaths @CHEnglishTeam #chclusterteam

[Cefn Hengoed Cluster Team @CHClusterteam]

Another amazing day at @TrallwnPrimary 👏🏼 A #feelybox activity as a hook for descriptive writing using thesauruses 📖 and a #Vocabularytarsia 🔼 Then #fractions with booklet workouts and #domino pair games😊 #year6 #literacy #numeracy @CHEnglishTeam @CHCSMaths #chclusterteam

A wonderful start to the summer term with @StThomas_cps Y6! 👏🏼 Y6 loved this #apostrophe game - they had to cross their arms if the apostrophe was for #omission, hold themselves for #possession and freeze if it was an imposter! #chclusterteam #literacy #year6 @CHEnglishTeam

[CH English Team @CHEnglishTeam]

The English department loved dressing up today as their favourite character from @HarryPotterHQ for @WorldBookDayUK 📚 🧹 ⚡️ 🤓 🦉@CefnHengoed

Credit to @MrF_Y6PrimaryEd - I first saw the #emojirace in your class 🙂🥸😎😵‍💫😑

[Cefn Hengoed Cluster Team @CHClusterteam]

@CGPrimary Year 6 classes were fantastic today! 👏🏼 The team spirt/excitement pictured was due to the use of #emojirace to decide who goes into the #hotseat 🔥 Y6 also wrote #roseblanche #diaryentries using #thesauruses to self-monitor! ✨ @CHEnglishTeam #literacy #chclusterteam

[Cefn Hengoed Cluster Team @CHClusterteam]

@StilltydsrcSA1 Year 6 wrote fantastic #diaryentries as #roseblanche characters 👏🏼 I also adapted #multiplication games from Dan Finkel’s #MathforLove - a fantastic find! 🤩 Da iawn pawb, gwaith gwych! ✖️➗ #chclusterteam #numeracy #literacy @CHCSMaths @CHEnglishTeam

Da iawn @DanygraigP Year 6! Their effort and enthusiasm for active numeracy was phenomenal! We clarified misconceptions through a musical chairs-style activity that linked to key vocabulary 🗣 #chclusterteam #kinesthetic #crosscurricular #numeracy #vocabulary @CHCSMaths

[Cefn Hengoed Cluster Team @CHClusterteam]

@StThomas_cps Year 6 had a Monday filled with numeracy ✖️➗ From WAGOLL demonstrations, to target practice, to self-monitoring ✅ It was a busy day but the enthusiasm did not falter! Da iawn pawb 👏🏼 #chclusterteam #numeracy #multiplication #division @CHCSMaths

[Cefn Hengoed Cluster Team @CHClusterteam]

Our literacy sessions have been equally as fun and engaging 📖 All Y6 groups have researched, planned and created a #diaryentry as a character from #RoseBlanche ⚪️ 🌹 We even managed a few games of #blooket when #APK 💡 #literacy @CHEnglishTeam #year6 #senses #readingbehaviours

[Cefn Hengoed Cluster Team @CHClusterteam]

After a busy few weeks, I wanted to share some photos of the fantastic Y6 groups 🏃‍♀️ 🏃‍♂️ Our current numeracy focus is #multiplication and #division ✨ We’ve played workout maths games and used lots of tools to support our learning💡 #chclusterteam #year6 #numeracy @CHCSMaths

Many of the Blooket requests have come from pupils in @CGPrimary Year 6. However, I will tag the other primaries so that every school sees this option 🤩 @StThomas_cps @TrallwnPrimary @PentrechwythPS @Talycopaschool @DanygraigP @StilltydsrcSA1

[Cefn Hengoed Cluster Team @CHClusterteam]

Some enthusiastic #Year6 pupils have been asking me if they could play the #RoseBlanche #Blooket game, that I created, at home🤩We haven't finished the book yet, but I will keep adding questions as we go! 📚 https://t.co/nFGAoMIyrE
⭐️Y6: This is NOT homework, it is optional🎄

[Cefn Hengoed Cluster Team @CHClusterteam]

Da iawn @StilltydsrcSA1 Year 6! Your effort and engagement was top tier ⭐️ The pupils are loving the maths workouts🏃‍♂️💪🏻 and the suspense that comes with reading #roseblanche! What will she discover after following the lorry? 💭 🚛 #chclusterteam @CHEnglishTeam @CHCSMaths
