So next week is going to be different and interesting, I can't wait. My class bubble is self isolating so 'Home Learning' begins. I am genuinely excited to see what can be achieved over the next week and a half! Here are a few things that I have put together to help! A thread.
I tested to hear what other teachers' morning routines are.
This is ours. We display this on the board for the children to practice their Numeracy skills whilst I do the register. We then randomly select pupils to share answers and to discuss them on the board.
Let's get back to this thing then
Today, we have been practising our understanding of grid references to discuss our Summer Holidays. We also played Battleships to practice the skill in a fun way.
@martinweston75@MenTeachPrimary@SchoolReading@_Reading_Rocks_ Was introduced to Crater Lake last year and very keen to use in lessons building up to our own residential! Hopefully it will build the excitement! Probably looking at Skellig, Crater Lake and Holes this year! Pathways sounds interesting, will have to have a look.
Spent some of today's INSET planning our Year 6 novel, this year we are doing #Skellig. Interested to know what other novels are focussed on in Year 5/6 novels. What are you doing? @MenTeachPrimary@SchoolReading@_Reading_Rocks_
@missfrenchteach @MenTeachPrimary@SchoolReading@_Reading_Rocks_ Sounds great, assuming that's one book per half term? Loved teaching Holes and Goodnight Mr Tom previously. Enjoy the film element at the end!
