@missdcox My school do have a longer school day than most schools in our area but this isn’t why we have 2 weeks off. We have less inset days as do them as twighlights and we break up later in the summer to allow for the 2 weeks.

@llewelyn20 I treat myself to a cleaner once a fortnight. It just takes another thing off my plate and it’s so lovely coming home to a clean house. There is nothing worse than slogging all week at work and then spending you day off cleaning the house.

@Headteacherchat We are a 1 form entry but send year 3/4 together on a 2 night residential year a will be on a farm and b on pgl type style Year 5/6 on a week year a Norfolk outward bounds and year b abroad to Paris where they do Disney. Staffing is flexible for those who can go.

@TeachingMrM @DeputyGrocott Not a dog just interesting to see how other schools use them. The children also use them to refer back to especially in English. We might so you could use some of your noun phrases to help you and they would look for the matching statement to support

@TeachingMrM @DeputyGrocott As subject leaders we have planned the lessons within our curriculum area to make it easier for teachers to deliver lessons. The learning statements allows us to track that the curriculum is being followed, we then look at the work produced to check that it matches the statement.

@_whatamymade @SmallSchool_KS2 @ShakinthatChalk Our contact time is 8:30- 3:20 with a 45 minute lunch break and 15 minute morning break. We get 2 hours non contact time a week for PPA.

@Mr_MY6 Subject leaders developed their own curriculum and therefore planned all the lessons for every year group in detail. Teachers now just need to resource them so we don’t have to submit any planning which is amazing!

@assistantheaduk Great for modelling how to use manipulatives. I use it for everything working through questions as whole class interventions, displaying good work at the beginning of lessons etc.
