SR-74 is partially closed between MPM 50 and 51, east of Cranston Station, due to a vegetation fire.

Caltrans is conducting alternating traffic control with a pilot car.

Expect delays and allow extra time through the area.

It is with profound sadness the CHP announces the line-of-duty death of Officer Brian Liles of the Visalia Area. The 16-year CHP veteran, died following an on-duty traffic crash on SR-99 near Tipton on Sep. 28, 2026. We extend our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.

CHP Beaumont is working an incident with a vehicle over the side on SR-243. The collision resulted in a brush fire. Both directions of SR-243 are closed for an unknown duration between the Banning city limits and Twin Pines. Motorists should use alternate routes.

Gilman Springs Road is closed between Alessandro Blvd and Bridge St, due to a traffic crash. The closure is expected to last several hours.

Alternate routes available are SR-79 or Ramona Expy.
