I have spent the best part of 30 hours a week for a year trying to get an answer on where my service charge goes.

@lbbdcouncil have no answers, no invoices, no contracts, no respect for residents & no plan to fix it.

@CllrDRodwell and the other senior council officials are either unwilling or unable to resolve the problem. Leaseholders are routinely billed for services that haven’t been provided, charged for works conducted on OTHER ESTATES and left waiting years for basic repairs.

One senior leader at the council repeatedly called leaseholders properties (that they bought and pay mortgage on) “our homes” as though the council still owns them.

Leasehold is a scam & many local authorities are exploiting it for every penny they can.

It’s that time against where leaseholders will be getting service charge final accounts. Landlords will be under pressure due to their inefficient control of costs and only way is to recover from you. Make sure you scrutinise every penny by s22 request for all invoices/receipts.
