@datadriven_tdoc I agree 100%! But that is not what your initial post said. You are in open dialogue with people who would prefer to not recognize “transness” in any form, so maybe cede ground narrowly (“obvious sociopaths”) instead of broadly (all post-incarceration inmates). Good luck!
@datadriven_tdoc Again, I appreciate (but disagree with) what you are trying to do. I just ask that you be more precise as you interact with people who would just as soon take everything away. Your initial statement could be construed as going much further than you intended.
@datadriven_tdoc What about individuals lacking official diagnoses who have been self medicating? It creates a sticky line-drawing problem if you use post-arrest official diagnoses and treatment as an absolute bar
@datadriven_tdoc Respectfully, that is not what your first post said. I disagree on this more refined point on policy (how does it work with prisoners who have medically transitioned for years? Trans individuals who have been medically transitioning pre-arrest but don’t approach passing?).
@datadriven_tdoc Perhaps the better approach might be to recognize housing decisions may be best made on a case-by-case basis. I appreciate what you’re trying to do, even though I don’t think it will succeed. Just try not to make things worse along the way.
It’s been a while since I’ve posted about a case I’m working on! Very proud to represent these amazing organizations in this important fight and grateful for the trust they’ve placed in us.
(1/2) @RFKHumanRights is proud to stand w/ @studentlegalnet, @Public_Citizen, @Door_NYC, @LULAC & @immcouncil against the Trump Admin's new PSLF rule, which grants the ED Secretary sweeping new powers to deny loan forgiveness.

@JoeDudekJD I’m teaching statutory interpretation at Maryland Law in the spring and have been trying to figure out the best way to incorporate it into the syllabus. It’s a head-scratcher!
Life of a queer Millennial:
Bullied in the 90s, AIDs scare still present
De-criminalised in the 00s, newfound freedom
Celebrated in the 10s, starting to gain mainstream acceptance
Demonised in the 20s, pushback from neo-NAZIs, TERFs & other far-right groups
@ButNotTheCity Depends on your definition of “crooner” and “easily,” but Damien Rice’s Blower’s Daughter and Ray Lamontagne’s Arms of a Woman for the bill for me… no complicated guitar needed in either song
Anyone have any idea why an 1855 judicial opinion out of Kentucky would suggest that “sheriffs, jailers, and other officers” might “deem it proper to give [a slave in their possession] spirituous liquors in moderation”? Was it historically common? #lawproftwitter#historytwitter
Shout out to @shanatucker and crew for their inclusion on this list! Immensely talented. 919 music stays winning! I get to say I knew her/saw her when (2009/10 music-playing days).
Every year, I get excited to share my summer playlist because I learn about so many new artists from your replies—it’s an example of how music really can bring us all together.
Here’s what I’ve been listening to this summer. What songs would you add?
