Excited to share our latest work in which we attempted to identify a molecular switch that could bias synapses toward scaling up or down! 1/n https://t.co/8d8hjkl7Wa @eLife
Hiring Alert!! I am looking for a tech w/ lab experience (meaning PCR...) & interested in gaining research experience in glial biology! You'll be the 1st to pick ur fav project from the 10+ that I have in mind 😌so plz RT and apply!

Delighted to share our study led by @Ananya_MC and with @YiotaPoirazi’s group: dopaminergic Locus Coeruleus to dCA1 projection (not dCA3) modulates memory linking across time by controlling excitability and the overlap between memory ensembles in dCA1 https://t.co/f53Hrk7kZe
Our lab @Brandeis (~Boston) now hiring a Research Tech. We study how flies/mosquitoes sense the world using molbio/genetics. Whether goal is PhD/MD program in ≥2 yrs (recent ex-techs in PhD (UC Berk.,UVM), MD/PhD (BU) programs) or long-term, contact us. https://t.co/abuWSKe8e0
@BrandeisScience@NeuroSwatiG Postdocs who'd like to come speak @BrandeisU should apply for this year's Invited Postdoc Research Colloquium competition! https://t.co/nONgubXTQx
Come be a technician in the Turrigiano lab and study prey capture learning as part of the Autism Rat Consortium (SFARI)! Cool project, fun and collaborative research group, and excellent track record of sending techs on to PhD programs.

Preprint "Juvenile Shank3 KO mice adopt distinct hunting strategies during prey capture learning" by Chelsea Groves Kuhnle, Micaela Grimes, Victor Manuel Suárez Casanova, Gina Turrigiano, and Steve Van Hooser https://t.co/rTkCxwltO7
Check out new #CaiLab preprint on how ensemble dynamics support memory flexibility and how this changes with age! Project spearheaded by the talented Will Mau (@MauseWhisperer). Thanks to awesome collaborators @SinaiBrain & @MiniscopeTeam!
Proud to be a part of a group that just published in @Nature a role for CCR5 in closing the temporal window for linking memories by modulating excitability and memory ensemble overlap. Also, CCR5 increases account for age-related loss in memory linking! https://t.co/yHULmVTHwL
This work is a fun collaboration with @VTatavarty, @PierreMichelJ10, our grad student @ndreaAshley, and involves many amazing people from different institutes. Of course, it won’t be possible without the guidance of our mentor, @TurrigianoLab . Thank y’all! 9/n

Lastly, we peeked into the complex kinase-phosphatase network that regulated Shank3 phosphorylation during scaling: Shank3 hypophosphorylation was maintained by PP2A, while its hyperphosphorylation requires PKA and CAMKII. 8/n
