Popping back on here to thank my mentors, colleagues and friends @BrandeisScience & elsewhere, my funders, & my very patient family. Most importantly, thank you to all the students & postdocs who chose to science along with me. And of course 🙏🏽 to our beloved worms!
Congratulations to The Brain Prize winners 2024: Larry Abbott, @Sejnowski, and @HSompolinsky
They have pioneered the field of computational and theoretical neuroscience and have made seminal contributions to our understanding of the principles that govern the brain’s structure, dynamics, and the emergence of cognition and behavior.

We found a new actin in H. salinarum - hence salactin - required to segregate chr at low ploidy. Salactin could also orchestrate DNA recomb. given the conserved repair genes in its genomic neighborhood.
Congrats to first authors Jenny Zheng (Garner) and John Mallon (Bisson)
Our work predicting multiple conformations by combining sequence clustering and AlphaFold2 is in press at @Nature!
Thrilled to get to share - now includes experimental validation for several tests of AF-Cluster, led by the incredible @ademi_moyin!
