@Stallion83 It doesn’t make any sense for Xbox. They have next to no physical footprint left because of Game Pass.

Unless they suddenly switch course and eliminate or sunset Game Pass, they will also be fully digital next gen.

@Pirat_Nation FF7 is my favourite game of all time and this idea sounds absolutely horrific.

They need to make a Final Fantasy with a story that resonates with the newer generation.

@TheSaekoSNOW Not sure they will win. But I know I will jump ship to Xbox and take my son with me. And this is where I think they might shoot themselves in the foot. Is the older gamers taking their kids into the Xbox ecosystem.

@Victor_Lucas I’m middle aged, and am probably not their core audience anymore. But I have bought all PlayStation systems launch day, from the PS1 to the PS5. Without physical, I’ll just stick with what I have or stick with switch 2 till physical is gone.
